I haven't eaten much because it was my first visit and I was sad to learn today "Friday" is the only day they serve fried fish and I happen to be very, very, very allergic to all seafood. Although the owner assured me he has a separate fryer for fish, I am super cautious when people serve fish and handle my food around it. I ordered two Gyro dinners and went to sit in the other room to wait for my number. As I waited one customer remarked to her companion that her chicken wings taste like fish. I'm like 😨 that's just crazy. I asked her did she say that to confirm and she said yeah they did, I told her why I asked and she said her potatoes didn't taste like that but her chicken does. So, I was going to get a refund but I decided my husband can just have them both plates.... that would make him happy. Lol.
Update: My husband was happy and enjoyed his food and mine a couple of weekends ago but I did go back today which is now a Wednesday and I once again ordered 2 Gyro Plates. The place while people were there it was not as busy as the Friday and the best part for me ....No fish!!
I took a picture once I got home....I promise they give you enough food for 2-3 maybe 4 gyros so do like I did and buy extra wraps for $1.
We really enjoyed the food....is it the best Gyro I've ever had?? No. But it's definitely good. The potatoes were yummy and with lots of salad and lamb, My Gyro was well appointed!! Since My favorite spot for Gyros at N.L. Mall has been closed due to "family emergency" for months, I need to find an alternative Gyros to Go is close to home, gives lots of food and makes a nice...
Read moreI have been a patron to Theo’s Gyro’s to Go since they opened in 2015. I have had the pleasure of sitting with Theo with my family when patronizing the restaurant for many years. Sharing wonderful family stories of his family and mines. Theo is a wonderful man of integrity, strong work ethics and amazing customer appreciation. As a native New Yorker I couldn’t wait to tell my New York friends in Georgia about this wonderful place that shared authentic Greek gyros and Greek cuisine. Lately I’ve been disappointed and after hearing the same concerns from others I’ve recommended this place to. I called today after my order to speak to one of the daughter’s I’m familiar with to be told she was busy. When I shared my experience with the young lady that answered of the smaller portions, different taste of the ok am product and sauce, I got a “oh well we’re in a inflation and we’ve had to change to different products “…hmmmm Theo would have never responded that way. Customer service was a reason I would drive 45 min two times a month to patronize , the food was always excellent, authentic and well portioned. Todays excuse I hope is...
Read moreBeautiful day today. Had a gyro platter. It comes with pita so you can wrap your own. The gyro meat is fresh and flavorful. Delicioso! Came back for my second time today (3/19/25) and I love everything about this place other than the (and this is a MAJOR gripe of mine) feta cheese they have. It's some sort of funky shredded stuff. It may be feta but shredded just does NOT hit the same as crumbled. Please note, today I told them I'd stopped at Publix right before coming to make sure I had the crumbly feta and after I said that they put crumbled feta on the salad that comes with the gyro platter, but I'm not sure this is an option for everyone. Or maybe it is. I don't know. I could see it becoming vastly more costly for them to give everyone feta cheese crumbles instead of shreds though. This isn't necessarily a complaint, I still eat it. Also, their sauce isn't true Tzatziki sauce. In fact, I don't think it has cucumber or dill in it. That's not a complaint either. The sauce is still good, but I just wanted actual...
