On Saturday 3/02/24, I went in around 4pm. As I entered the restaurant there was a lady wearing blue who was behind the counter. She was engaged in a conversation with a couple. I would have expected this woman to have atleast acknowledge me while at the counter. I guess my expectations of her having some sort of customer service skills and hospitality was bit much to ask for. Apparently she doesn't have any of them.
While I stood over there at the counter waiting waiting to purchase a meal, she continues her conversation with the couple talking about these different restaurants and bars that's open and closed. I'm thinking in my mind, can she multi task? I wouldn't have minded if she would have taken my order and continued her conversation with the couple but instead continued being rude ignoring me like my business doesn't matter.
After about 3-5 minutes of standing there waiting for her to take my order, her unprofessionalism was a bit too much. I began to walk out wondering if she would stop me. Guess what, she didn't! Which validated everything that I thought about her hospitality and her manners. Funny when I was leaving the parking lot that very couple came outside to their car only to watch me leave like they couldn't believe that I walked out because they were talking. They were apart of the problem as well.
Now I'll say this. I feel bad when certain B.O. businesses go out of business. However, I won't feel bad if this one does. They've gone up on their prices, they can't keep employees, they always run out of food well before closing and obviously have very poor customer service skills as was displayed by the rude woman today in the front. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment and if any of you have to go elsewhere and drive further for better service and quality Jamaican food, please do so. You'll be glad you did.

   Read moreI walked into the restaurant an was not greeted. I stood there for 5 minutes and not once did an employee say "we will be with you in a moment or anything". An employee came an fixed herself a personal plate and she still didn't say hello or anything. 2 people came in after me and asked if there were fresh plantain in the back and no one responded. The plaintains were low, the cabbages were low, the beef patties looked dry as ever as well as the mac and cheese. When the lady with the glasses who was working the register around 4pm finally came over to me she gave me a dry hello. I let her know that the people behind me asked if they had plantain on the back and that they got no response and walked out. She said "the way this works is that I'm serving you". I found that inappropriate because it is her job to serve. She is getting paid to serve. There wouldn't be an island vibes if it wasn't for customers paying their hard earned money and attitudes like hers are bad for business. It makes you not want to support the small business of your people. I will never visit this place again. Called back and was told I could come back and ask to remake the order and I didn't have to bring the food back that I had becausethey wouldn't take it back anyway.. I drove 40mins back and the server had an attitude and was going to argue with me about the last order. The owner didn't know what was going on and started to question me as well and asking why I didn't bring the food back...... ok at this point I was frustrated and just said forget it.
