I don’t even do Google reviews but I tried to talk to an employee/management about their illegal consumer practices during my experience but she wasn’t listening.
I entered this beautiful establishment looking to buy a parfait bowl. I noticed a “No Cash” sign. I confirmed with staff if they took cash and they said no. I didn’t have any debit on me, I was coming from the gym. just about $100+ dollars in cash. It wasn’t busy at the time at all, the owner was willing to lose a first time customer just because they didn’t want to take my $10 cash for my $8 parfait. I was willing to give the whole $10 just for any inconvenience or she wouldn’t have to give me change back. i decided to call my wife and tell her to cash app me the $10 so i can pay.
I then asked out of curiosity why they only took cash. I was told that it makes it very convenient when doing bookkeeping (which I understand) and that it was easier to pass on their merchant/credit card processing fee to the customers. WAIT… WHAT??? So you don’t take cash nor give me any other payment options but you are forcing me to pay a credit card processing fee.. very ILLEGAL and violates many consumer laws… consumers shouldn’t have to PAY EXTRA to do business with you. This is why these consumer laws are in place. You HAVE to give consumers PAYMENT OPTIONS if you are going to add surcharge fees.
And then the overly large paper bag I was given seems super wasteful for my small order…if you are concerned about saving pennies on processing fees, maybe you should downsize the bag sizes. Just a suggestion.
Management, please review your merchant practices. This comes out of a place of love. I just wanted to inform y’all. Would hate to see such a great local business we need here in Conyers fined heavily or shut down for illegal practices. It’s just not right. The next customer may not be so nice or they just might be a compliance officer wanting a turkey wrap and not take these unethical practices so lightly.
But great place, I will definitely visit again once they stop FORCING me to pay extra just for me to pay for my food.
Parfait was good, sending love and...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking for a healthy restaurant in Conyers and found the Purple Garden. It did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The color scheme (matching the name) was so beautifully done. We were greeted immediately as we walked in the door. Lots of great menu options from smoothies (made with NO ICE —only fruit and healthy add-ins), wraps, and açaí bowls. We tried 2 smoothies and 2 different wraps (fire roasted chicken wrap and the seafood wrap) and extra sides…EVERYTHING was so tasteful and filling. The wraps were ON POINT, generous portions and very flavorful!!! We were going to try a bowl but we were so stuffed (that will be our next try). The owner was so personable and everyone was so nice and welcoming. Be sure to stop by and support this new business. You will not be disappointed. Try their combos (they include a smoothie). We will...
Read moreVery beautiful environment. Workers attitude are okay but not very great in providing customer satisfaction or care. I ordered a grilled chicken salad but the meat does not look very grilled. It tastes like ham from a lunchable or school lunch. I would have been better off going to Chickfila. I paid almost $20 for this meal just to not be satisfied. I asked if they could do anything ( i offered more options than they did) such as grill the chicken a little more, an exchange with something else or even a refund and they told me no to all options. The meat does not look done and one of the workers told me its bc its a rotisserie chicken… so i will take my $20 loss. To bad i also cannot take a tip back. I will not be bringing my services here again. I don’t recommend anyone else either besides for a smoothie because the food is...
