Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Coppell

Really disappointing customer service. I met my husband here with my son. I don't normally eat here so I walked in, went to the food area and started telling the guy that I just wanted sides. He pawned me off on another employee who asked what I wanted, I told her that we wanted fries and some veggies, etc. She started the fries and then disappeared. I was waiting for someone to return and then a rush of two other huge parties came in, were given plates (I never was) and the lady that was supposed to be helping me started checking them out. I was so confused because I had been there first and no one returned to get the rest of my order and I was never offered a plate. I had to wait over 10 minutes and I finally went to the take out around and asked if I was supposed to be doing something differently. They literally giggled at me and told me that is supposed to get a plate... problem is, the staff is supposed to give you the plate and no one ever returned to help me and then ignored me to help the two other families that came in after me. I am so disappointed since I work close and had heard good things about this place but that was not...

073024: Looking for a quick lunch we decided to stop our favorite barbecue in Coppell. It's always clean and cool here. Best of all, you're not overwhelmed by the smoke upon arrival. Staff is always friendly and easy to help. I ordered an original Baker with brisket and my wife ordered a classic sandwich. The Taste was absolutely wonderful ....as always. Special note, this particular Dickies has fresh hot rolls. If you're a bread lover, this is it!!!! Thank you team Dickey's Coppell for treating us to a great visit!

Earlier post: We came by for some quick barbecue. We were greeted and served with some of the best stuff out there! My favorite is brisket and the pulled pork with a little bit of fat. My wife liked the ribs. Thank you to their excellent manager Brandon, he made sure if it was a good experience. Good food, good service , and more importantly... good Community neighbors ... Everyone should eat at this Dickey's BBQ!

I have been coming to this Dickeys for years. It is right on Denton Tap and easy to get to. For the couple of last visits there has been very few customer. The food was great as usual. Why else would I keep coming back :) Anyway, this time the service sucked. The staff did not greet and I seemed to be non important. Maybe good because I had ample time to read the menu before I finally found a list of specials on the counter. I made my order and the lady started preparing it, or so thought. She actually was preparing someone else's take out order. After I got my food, I carried on towards the cashier station. Things had been moved around a bit, but no-one seemed to care if I made it or not. Once I got all the way to the cashier, a guy appeared to take the payment. Then he dissappeared. I could not find a straw so I returned to the cashier to ask about it. But there was no-one there. Then I spotted straws. In summary, food was good, service...
