Frida Coffee and Deli — Restaurant in Coral Springs

Exceptional!!! Love it here. It’s quiet and low key and I hope it stays this way. Finding quiet is becoming increasingly difficult here in south Florida. This is a tucked away gem.

When I first started going to this place it wasn’t very known in the area or popular yet as they had just opened…it was great. Most mornings I was in there by myself. They got popular and known really fast. There is no other cafe in the immediate area not even a Dunkin or a SB so they had an opportunity. Fast forward to current it’s under new ownership which made me a bit sad, the former owners were great.The food and the coffee quality has diminished and the biggest gripe about the food is I don’t think anything there is homemade/made from scratch or baked from scratch prices are on the higher side though. That’s why I stopped going, when you charge those prices I need the food made from scratch and the barista’s need to be properly trained. I’m glad I got to enjoy it for a couple months a while back with former ownership and before word got out about the place…last time I went there the staff seemed nice, so...

I stopped by this place for breakfast while doing laundry next door, but I walked out feeling hurt and deeply disappointed. From the moment I stepped inside, something felt off. The staff didn’t greet me or make me feel welcome in any way. I tried to engage, but I felt dismissed like I wasn’t supposed to be there. What made it worse was watching how warmly and kindly they treated the others there. The difference was hard to ignore, and it left me wondering if I was treated differently because of how I looked or what I was wearing. That’s a painful thing to question and an even more painful thing to feel. I didn’t expect this. My first visit here was positive, which made this experience even more disappointing. I left without ordering anything, not because I didn’t want the food, but because I no longer felt comfortable being there.i won’t be returning, but I truly hope someone in leadership reads this. Extremely disappointed way to kick.start Sunday Funday lazy breakfast. To start with the positive is best as the beef empanada was fresh, warm, meaty and delicious. The rest of the order tasted like last week's leftovers. I am trying to be understanding to restaurants, especially the mom and pop ones with the high prices but I will not tolerate poor quality. We all took a hit for over 2 yrs financially in way or the other. That doesn't give restaurants the right to provide poor quality food. Everything was horrible. The worst pan de bono....ok Columbian peeps sorry about the spelling lolol The bagel wasn't to bad but it was a bagel and butter and the butter was almost invisible. The blueberry muffin had an ok top crush which was the only part we ate. It was dried and tasteless. The coffee was ok.
