I came in with a group of friends after a 15 mile bike ride in the Everglades. By the time we came in we were starving. On a weekday for lunch we were the only group in the restaurant. On the way to our seats we were greeted with a board filled with $7 and $8 lunch specials.
Shortly after we all placed our orders we were brought 2 baskets of the most delicious garlic rolls dripping in butter and garlic. I am sure that whatever fat burning that had been done by the bike ride was canceled out by those rolls. Our whole table devoured them and then we needed more!
Or meals came with soup or salad. I chose the salad and it was a basic garden salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, and olives. My friends who had the Pasta e Fagioli declared it adequate. My friend said hers was okay but she had eaten better. Her kids seemed to care for it less.
Our lunch portions were huge. It may have been because of all of the rolls we ate but everyone needed a box to take leftovers home. I had the chicken Parmesan which came with spaghetti. I liked the flavor of the sauce. The chicken was a little crispy but still good. The meal was a great value based on the amount of food and the price. My daughter had the baked ziti which she enjoyed. Other dishes ordered included a chicken Caesar salad and the sausage and peppers. Everyone liked their food except my friends two daughters who both ordered the fettuccine Alfredo. The both barely touched the dish because they didn't like the sauce. I tried to tell the waiter that the girls didn't like their meal but he just walked away. This is not the kind of place that is going to notice whether or not you ate your food and then inquire if you liked it. The girls aside the rest of us enjoyed our lunch. This place is close to my church so I would consider coming again if I was in the mood for Italian food. I might even come out of my way for the...

Read moreThis past Wednesday I was searching for a quick bite to eat while I was out shopping for birthday treats for my dog Bo’s second birthday celebration. I was in the Coral Springs area (more specifically in Lakeview Center) when I decided I wanted to stop for a nice lunch.
I delightfully stumbled upon Joe’s Pizzeria when I was walking through the plaza looking for a good place to eat. After examining the lunch specials that they had listed outside of the restaurant I decided that this is where I would like to dine.
When entering the venue you are greeted to very quaint surroundings. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is very homy. I loved the paintings on the walls that accompanied each booth. They were very bright, colorful and intriguing. The lighting is throughout makes the restaurant very lively and inviting.
Upon entering I went directly to the front counter to place my order of two slices of cheese pizza with added pepperoni on each slice and a soft drink. My order was taken by the owner himself Joe who informed me that everything is homemade and fresh even the sodas.
I went to sit down in my booth which was very spacious and comfortable. When my pizza arrived I noticed how big the slices were. I added oregano and red pepper on top of each slice. My drink of choice was their homemade root beer which was delicious.
The pizza itself was hot and fresh tasting and the pepperoni was well distributed on each slice. I usually do not eat pizza crust but, I did really enjoy the crust of this pizza because it was not too thick but also was not thin.
Overall I would say I had an excellent lunch experience at Joe’s Pizzeria and I am excited to try them again to see what other amazing things they...
