Rosita Bakery — Restaurant in Coraopolis

I was very excited to check out this new bakery in Cory, and it did not disappoint!

Lots of panaderia classics like concha and volcano bread. Sweetbreads, donuts, cakes, and more.

I REALLY loved my concha and the fresh donut. They were soft and sweet. The donut had a nice thick coating of vanilla icing that was a perfect compliment to the cakey donut texture. The piña pastelita was a little more stiff/dry of a bread, but the filling was divine.

I found out from the employee (owner?)that helped me that the bakery plans to add future treats like ice cream and fresh fruit smoothies. I wish this new business the best of luck. It's a wonderful addition to our already strong latinx community and compliments other eateries like la Poblanita.

100% urge you to check...

Came in to try the bakery. I got a chocolate chip cookie, it tasted pretty bad…like worse than one you would get from a grocery store bakery. She said it was 75 cents. I gave her a dollar, she hands me back 15 cents. I honestly feel like she was intentionally trying to steal that extra dime and hoped I wouldn’t notice lol. Weird place all around. All of the single serve baked goods looked weird and dry, and like they came from a grocery store. The cakes looked nice but I’m not gonna spend $30 to find out, ya know? I usually judge bakeries on their chocolate chip cookie because it’s an easy item to make and if you can’t make that taste good than it leaves me very little faith that you can do better on...

I went in Monday, May 12th, a little after 8 pm; mind you the door was unlocked. I was excited to check it out! I saw; guessing Rosa taking a picture near the grass wall of a cake! She turned her head to me and excitedly I said HI to her and if looks could kill I would be dead 💀 So I apologetically ask if they are closed 😫 and just then a very friendly gentleman comes behind the counter and explains that they closed at 7 (my fault for not looking at the hours on the door)! He was willing to serve me but I politely told him I would just come back during regular hours! I have no intentions on returning given the coldness from Rosa; felt like I was not welcome! Cute place...
