Anna's Italian Kitchen — Restaurant in Cornelia

Anna’s Italian Kitchen at Unicoi Lodge is an exquisite dining experience. We were expecting a good meal, but received a four course delight. The salad was made at the table and included, Romain lettuce, blue cheese, grapes, pancetta, and shaved Parmesan. The antipasto included ripe tomatoes with mozzarella and vinegar. Delicious. The Primi included spaghetti and meatballs, flank steak and lobster ravioli, enough for two. The sides were polenta (excellent) and baby peas. Having recently returned from Italy, I felt as if I had returned to a tiny restaurant in Rome. Dessert included a fresh fruit parfait. We even received a delicious parting gift for later. The food was wonderful, when it came. The entire dinner took over 3 hours. The problems were #1, they only had 1 server. The poor man was literally running between tables. #2, the kitchen didn’t seem to have the meals ready. We waited and waited for the food. Chris was the server and he was awesome, but could only do so much. It didn’t seem like they were ready for quests. We made a reservation, but there was no hostess. Chris was doing everything. We are staying at The Unicoi Lodge and had planned to go into Helen for dinner, but the weather had other plans. We instead ate at Anna's Kitchen just feet from our room and what a delight! The food was wonderful and the atmosphere and music were 100% Italian! Paige and Chris were excellent servers, efficient without being fussy. My husband and I give them highest marks.
