Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Cornelia

Okay, to preface: I hate writing bad reviews. I try to always give cooks, wait staff, managers, and basically the whole food service team the benefit of the doubt because I know it’s not always the easiest job. Things get hectic, you have a bad day, orders get messed up. So much is forgiveable... but today at Pizza Hut in Cornelia, SO MUCH went wrong that I feel like something should be said. We came in for lunch and we all ordered a lunch special with small individual two-topping pizzas for each of us. The waitress was obviously new, so I can’t fault her too much here. She wrote down our topping choices. And we waited. And waited. Oh good god... the wait. My coworker and I had brought people that we work with in with us. We work with young men who have developmental disabilities and they were getting very impatient. We probably could have had a pizza delivered by a competitor in the time it took to get our pizzas. Our pizzas came out of the oven and my coworker saw the kitchen staff and waitress puzzling over them. Since our individuals were getting antsy, she went to check and we found out the orders were wrong. Thankfully the pizzas for them were correct, but our pizzas were just... wrong. So they brought them out and ran our missing toppings through the oven so that we could stick them on our pizza ourselves. Which was... unfortunate but like hell were we waiting for another 30 minutes for our pizzas. Now my pizza came out... sad. Shriveled and sad. It looked unappetizing. It was haphazardly cut and the sauce was splashed over the ends of the crust. The onions were dried into sticks. I decorated my newly withered mushrooms over it to eat it. My coworker was less lucky with a plate of pepperonis from the oven absolutely swimming in grease. I felt bad for the waitress who was trying so hard to fix her mistake of entering the order wrong into the computer, but even the cooks weren’t helping her. We paid for our meal, which was not split into four separate checks, like we’d requested.

And then for the rest of our day we had to stick close to a bathroom. I’m not sure what it was, but my coworker and I especially were affected by something we ate. Even five hours later, as I’m writing this, I had to drop my individual off early and head home to nurse my sore stomach. I’m going to be skipping this Pizza Hut in the future when I’m in the Cornelia area but I do hope they get their act together. This...

My family and I visited this Pizza Hut Saturday December 28th 2024 at around 4 pm. From the moment we entered the building we actually felt liks special guest by our waitress. I don't remember her name, but she was a short lady with brown hair,extremely kind and a fantastic waitress. My daughter requires a wheelchair and it started pouring as we got her wheelchair unloaded and uncovered from the back of our truck. As soon as we opened the door she got us seated and drinks on the table asap. The restaurant was very well decorated for Christmas and though pretty busy was very very CLEAN ! They could teach classes to many other places about cleaning as they go despite being busy. We ordered a medium cheese, and large pepperoni pizza, along with a dozen wings in mild Buffalo sauce. Delicious, is an insult to this food. My wife, daughter, her boyfriend, and I are pretty picky about our food and this food was probably the best, no exaggeration, we have ever eaten from any Pizza Hut. Those wings with blu cheese dressing was so good I couldn't stop eating until I had eaten 8 wings. My wife ate a salad and 4 and big wings due to her eating healthy. Those were the best cooked wings, and no joke, I believe Pizza Hut has the best mild Buffalo sauce on the market.....anywhere ! I may have to order carry out wings from there today, regardless of my living 20 minutes away in another town. Both pizza's were fantastic. My daughter ate several slices of her cheese pizza and said it was good. Her boyfriend thought the pepperoni was so good he ate all but 2 slices. lol, So it must have been very good. The whole time our waitress was dropping by every few minutes checking on us. ++ Long story short, our food and experience was great and we'll definitely be back in the future. We had visited this restaurant last several years ago and had such a terrible experience and after being ignored for 30 minutes walked out without ever receiving drinks or even a menu. The visit yesterday has regained our in store sit down business for Pizza Hut of Cornelia. Great job !! The waitress did an excellent job. It was raining even harder as we prepared to leave and I was out covering my daughter wheelchair to load into the back of my truck and onevof the male staff came out in the pouring rain to see if I needed help getting her chair loaded. If I could give this place a 0 star review I would. It was my husband birthday today , so as a family of 6 we walked and sat our self down as all other customers were doing as well. All other customers that got there got greeted by the waitress, took their order brought their drinks ,brought their plates mind you it was all white American people. We were the only Hispanic family there. So we sat there for 15-20minutes we never got spoke to. so I decided to stand up and speak To the waitress in a very respectful way, I asked her what was the reason why we were not getting attended I told her that I understood the Restaurant was very busy at the moment we got there and she proceeded to scream at me. So when that accord I asked for a manager. The manager that was there was the cook as well. She came out yelling at me saying that I should’ve waited to be seated, and I mentioned to her how come everyone else around us sat their self down and still got attended. This is racism, racism, racism, racism!!!!!! There was no need to start yelling in front of my children. There was no need to be rude when I was being very respectful after I mentioned to them that I understood it was busy. I ask the manager if I could have a phone number of someone above her and she said no!! And proceeded to yell at me from the kitchen as I walked out the building! I will most definitely be calling corporate Monday morning!
