This review is based on service and not the food. I didn't get to try the food due to walking out after being treated more rudely than I ever have in my life. Subs are on the menu here, but I wouldn't recommend ordering subs because this apparently makes the cook/manager(?) VERY angry! I called to place an order and said can I please get 4 cheese steak subs and was told "no, you can't. Go down the street to Philly steak subs, we aren't doing those." I said, OK, thank you I just saw them on your menu. "They are on the menu but we're not doing them tonight." So, I go to Philly steak subs down the street but they are closed so I return to Pizzaz Pizza thinking I'll just order a different kind of sub. The two people up front seemed confused when I said I was told they weren't doing cheesesteaks but could we get 4 meatball parmesan subs. One guy goes back to ask the cook who comes up front and angrily says to me "are you the one who called? Well, I can do 4 cheesesteak subs but we're not a sub shop, it's twice the work and half the money so I can't make like 10 subs". I say OK, I understand, we just want 4 subs but if it's easier we can do meatball or whatever. The guy is pretty angry and says I can do four, just tell her what you want. Then my mom makes the mistake of asking if the onions they put on the sub are grilled. When the guy up front goes back to ask, the cook throws his hands up in the air and yells "We don't have grilled onions because we don't have a grill. we're NOT a sub shop!". At this point I walked out. I don't really want someone this angry cooking food for me. If you don't want to make subs take them off your menu. Don't take it out on me for just ordering off the menu. On the other hand, if he was just too busy to accommodate a sub order that night all he had to say was "I'm sorry, we're really slammed tonight and just can't handle any sub orders. I'd be happy to make you a pizza or we'd love if you came back on a night when we're not so busy." Apparently I'm not the only person who was yelled at here for ordering subs off the menu. They really need to just take them off the menu or fire...
Read moreWe were visiting in town and heard about this pizza place that was very good and very highly recommended. We went to go one of the days we were here for lunch and when we went in we were greeted with disrespect and the clerk at the register yelled at us. We had thought he was talking to us, but by our mistake he was on the phone with another customer. His response to us talking to him at the same time he was on the phone was to literally scream at us. The clerk literally goes “IM ON THE PHONE RIGHT NOW SIR!!!” very rudely and very loud. There was no manager on duty that we noticed and the other employees just stood there doing nothing to apologize or correct their coworker. I understand how customer service is, I work in customer service in a grocery store but there was no reason to be that rude or to react that way. The clerk could’ve easily said “I’m on the phone right now sir. I’ll be right with you” but instead he decided to be very aggressive about it. It was our first time going there and it will be our last. Just very unprofessional and put a bad taste...
Read moreI was visiting the OBX this past week and we called ahead and ordered pizza to go from the 603 Currituck clubhouse rd location. The person answering the phone was nice. She said it would be ready in 40 minutes. After I had ordered, my husband said to read the reviews about the place. I got really worried!!!! But we chose to go pick up the two pizzas we ordered (BBQ bacon and ham/pineapple). I was pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were ready on time and the lady ringing us up was very nice. K. Church was her name I think. I was so tense after reading the reviews but she totally made the rest of the reviews look crazy. The pizza was amazing and cooked to perfection!!! I ordered a small ham/pineapple pizza and ate all but one slice by myself. My husband liked his BBQ bacon pizza too. Like I said, I was so worried after reading the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised with a friendly cashier and yummy pizza.
It was the 603 Currituck Clubhouse location. Maybe this location is newer and better than the reviews that other people posted. (There are three locations...
