The Chill Spot — Restaurant in Corolla

This was our first experience here, and it was great! Everything was awesome; the customer service, the atmosphere, and of course, the ice cream!

We were happily greeted with smiles right away by two lovely young ladies as they patiently waited on us.

I had the waffle cone with the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor and my wife had the waffle cone with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

My ice cream was richer than what I'm used to, but it was still good, and my wife's was good as well.

There were four or five tables (all with four chairs each) inside, and one or two (maybe more) outside.

What I enjoyed the most was the pictures that were drawn by kids hanging around the shop. As a dad, I greatly appreciate puns, and found great amusement from the ice cream pun pictures!

All in all, it was a great experience, and I'm sure my family will be returning upon our next visit to OBX!

While looking for a place to get icecream (on google) i stumbled upon this place. while reading the reviews, i noticed Ryan and his copious responses to said reviews. like some of them are actually full on essays- which tbh, i respect. shows that he cares abt the customers and their experience, yk? so anyways, i went to check it out and it was pretty awesome :-). the place itself had a very nice ambiance- like that of an icecream shop that youd see in a hallmark movie or smth lmao. there was also a very wide selection of stuff to order which is always good and the staff are actually so kind ☹️☹️🫶🫶. i got the raspberry sorbet and it was reallly good. it was the perfect mix of sweet but not-too-sweet which is perfect for me. my brother got the superman and exclaimed how much more he liked it compared to all the other places that serve it (he gets it ALLLL the time x-D) i definitely recommend...

The staff were fast, friendly, and very helpful!! They have a great variety of YUMMY hard flavors and the basic soft serves. The ice cream tacos are actually realllly good, those waffles that they make the tacos out of are yummy. I will say that the waffle cones themselves are just ok, not the best waffle cone I’ve had but it’s only a $1 up charge so I’d still do it. Also offer “hurricanes” which are toned down DQ blizzards and lots of milkshakes! 10/10 recommend for the evening/midday ice cream run. Bring everyone, they can handle it.

Edit: Came back 2 years later and Georgia handled our big group of 20 people wonderfully! She even went out of her way to make sure my nephew who has a severe nut allergy was safe :) Such a great stop when visiting the OBX I look forward to...
