Weezy’s Ice Cream — Restaurant in Corolla

Pros: The teenagers who waited on us were very nice and helpful........The milkshake was delicious........Convenient location in Hwy. 12.

Cons: Thought the milkshake was very good, it was grossly overpriced at over $7. Not even close to being worth it........When my wife and I came in, the teen workers were nice. But there was a little tension we could feel that we didn't have masks on. It was like we had leprosy. No seating whatsoever. Benches turned on their sides so guests couldn't look and see the ice cream in a cases. They didn't hand me my milkshake. I had to wait for them to put it on a little table and then pick it up. All of this crossed over into a phobia. There is zero scientific evidence at all that a virus that has a 98.1% recovery rate of those who contract it is considered dangerous. Humans have lived for melania under worse situations, yet this statistically minor virus is making people lose all sense of objectivity and bringing the most advanced society in human history to its collective knees. It's unconscionable to make these young people (by far, the lowest "risk" group) so scared when there is no reason to be. There's no scientific or statistical proof at all to justify such psychotic and antisocial behavior. It's insane! No others establishment in all of the Outer Banks on our vacation acted this over-the-top and paranoid. We felt much more welcomed everywhere else. We were able to dine-in everywhere else. This place had really good ice cream, but the reason I gave them 2 stars was for their customer service and a comment made.

We had a party of 10+ that went and got ice cream. We had 3 separate checks and everything from my order was fine.

The issue we encountered was from a comment the worker made. We had 4 people in our party order ice cream and one if them ordered a double scoop of something in a cup. Then the other older woman in mid 70s said I'll have the same thing. When she received her order she said, I think I was supposed to get a cone on top. And she wasn't by the way she ordered it, but the difference in price on their board was less than 50 cents. I think it was 20 cents but I don't remember correctly.

Even though it was the woman in our party's fault for the way she ordered the comment the worker said was very dissappointing. She said, if you would have ordered a cone, I would have written it down. I understand she was busy, but the negative tone she had was a turn off. We would have been glad to pay the 20 to 50 cents difference, but that wasn't even offered.

We just paid over 45 dollars on ice cream, plus we left tips (before receiving ice cream). So when that comment was made it just seemed like bad customer service.

Doubt I'd come back to this place in the future. Ice cream was fine, scoops of Hersheys ice cream. I have no skin in the game in terms of their policy on dropping ice cream and paying for more....that said I noticed it when we entered and thought it was lame. The owners comments on here about comparing it to dropping eggs at grocery store blah blah blah, who cares! This is the first place I've seen in all of my travels or even in my hometown with such a policy.

MY gripe is the attitude from the woman taking orders (reddish hair with glasses). Her whole tone is just rude to begin with, like you are bothering her. Anyhow, I stated my son wanted a mint and cookies and creme milkshake...her reply "it doesn't matter what u do the mint will overpower it", I said it's fine that's what he wants, her reply "well it's gonna overpower it, it's 3 scoops" I said "we don't care, just do 2 scoops cookies and creme and 1 mint and it'll be fine" I'm willing to pay nearly $10 for a milkshake which is outrageous to begin with(can honestly say that's the most expensive shake I've ever purchased) and the woman just wants to keep going on and on about it. Just make the shake!

I don't know why the place is so toxic with attitudes. I've seen the owner ask to remove negative reviews....ain't happening. Steer clear of this place if u want to feel like u are spending money where it's...
