Short version: Friendly staff, got our order wrong, unimpressed with what we got. If it were my first experience, I'd never come back.
Long version: For about 3 years Farmer Boys was my "go-to" fast food on the rare occasions when I didn't bring my lunch to work. With only one service-related occasion I was very pleased. Also, it was not this Corona location.
Went to this location and it was not busy at all, one car at pickup window, then one behind us when we were waiting. As stated before, staff was friendly. After a few minutes waiting (the usual amount) we received our order. We ordered one classic fried chicken sandwich, one double big cheeseburger and 2 onion rings. I didn't check the order upon delivery, I should have. We drove home and discovered they screwed it up. 2 chicken sandwiches, one with spicy sauce. Sigh... 2 sandwiches and they both were lack-luster to put it mildly. Both looked like someone sat on them before wrapping them up. The chicken wasn't crispy at all. Pretty sure it wasn't deep fried to order, just microwaved to heat it up. The spicy one was just the squashed bun, microwaved chicken and the sauce... not to mention it wasn't even what we ordered. The classic wasn't much better, it had pickles... We didn't want to make the drive back to get the burger, so we dealt with what we had. Onion rings were impressive to look at, but mushy and upon one bite, the rest of the batter mostly falls off.
Come on, Corona Farmer Boys... I know other locations are doing it right. This wasn't my first experience with the chain, but it was for my wife. She's like, "...and you actually eat here?" Well... if this were my first time I'd...
Read moreI thought the food, while certainly above average for a burger and zucchini, was very overpriced for my family of 3 at that time. You essentially pay more for fast food than you will at an above average sit-down restaurant. But that cost comes without the customer getting any of the higher quality services that come with having an assigned waitress or waiter for your table.
To be completely fair here though, I am reviewing a single experience I had at this establishment probably 6 or even 7 years ago now. Perhaps there’s been improvements or the prices ceased to increase (although with inflation today I’d be shocked). I spent $60-70 years ago for 3 burger meals at lunchtime. So that averages over $20 per person, which I feel for a fast food-like experience was and remains overpriced. The food wasn’t bad by any means. Just unmemorable. I still haven’t returned since my first visit because the experience just wasn’t remarkable enough or priced at a point I’d be willing to give them more...
Read moreMiriam the manager has given me a 20% discount on my second attempt to get my order correct. I usually am very patient when your drive off and realize they missed an item that you ordered after doublechecking if all i orderedwas good. The food is truly great. And even though I am thankful for the food. I am eating a cold breakfast burrito and did not eat with my family and forced to eat for the loss of appetite after driving back to get what they originally missed in the very beginning.i got a discount of 2 dollars and some change. As I drive home to eat my cold burrito i was thinking about this bad service so I ask you all to post your experiences. Lets hold Farmer Boys employees accountable for their actions. We want better service and if you guys make a mistake the least you could do is a meal off or something. Not 2 dollards. I had to drive back !! Everyone please check your food before you head out. I thought this was a McDonald's thing but apparently...
