1st adress was wrong, but google is fixing it quickly like they always do. So I am reviewing the one at 422 Market St, 92101.
WOW how bad of service period, even to the owner. So I like that they are 24 hrs as I work late and live close by. But please don't bother going there late night. I have been there late night 2 times so far and will now never go back based on the call I got from the regional manager today. The first time, my sandwiches were sopping wet and soggy from too much oil and vinegar sprayed on the bread. I couldn't even eat the meatball sub without a fork, and didn't even finish it because it tasted bad being soggy. So I call subway customer hotline to complain. Within 2 days, Eric the district manager, calls me back. I do appreciate the quick response. He explained they will retrain the team and for me to tell them Eric is comping a footlong sub. Great, used it for a morning breakfast wrap which was good.
So last week I go once again at night on the way home from work (11pm) and get a footlong sub. 1st I noticed the employee had sprayed an excessive amount of oil & vinegar again (different employee) and I stated "man now that sub is going to be soggy again" and she stated "no the bread was just baked, so it won't be soggy" So sure enough I get home, eat 1st half of sub which was OK, but 2nd one I couldn't even hold because I was actually holding the meat and veggies due to the soggy bread that had been pushed away. I have pics.
So i called that night as well. I get a call today from the "regional" manager Rashid who apologized and stated he would get with the manager. I asked ya OK once again, but what about the sub I just paid for that I could not even eat half of. He stated "Subway does not offer a refund unless you bring us the sub while you are in the store or immediately after." Which would have meant me walking in the cold again to go back. I was mad. So i called him right back and asked for his name and felt is was wrong that Subway would sell you a bad sub, then say sorry but we can't refund the $5 dollars you spent, even just a new sandwich.
I will give props that on my second call Rashid said we will give you a free footlong. But he asked me to give him a specific time that I will go. I don't know when I am going back as I don't schedule my time to stop by subway, but I just said forget it I will get dressed and go right now and 10am on new years day.

Read moreI am a regular at the UCSD Subway (and by regular, I really really mean it).
This particular Subway was quite different from the one at UCSD. And I was surprised with how significantly different it was. The 3-star rating takes into consideration everything. For the food itself, I would say it was a 3.5 or 4.
First up, the people behind the counter were slow and did not know good queue management. The guys and gals at Subway UCSD put one sandwich in the oven and smoothly zip to the next person in line and start preparing their order until the oven beeps. These people did not divide the tasks between each other well and multiple people seem to stick with one order, ignoring the ones behind. It took some time to prepare my order. They were also REALLY slow with preparing the sandwiches compared to the people at UCSD. I really mean slow.
Otherwise, the food was fine. My veggie patty sandwiches got slightly burned which is never a problem at UCSD (happened once in over 40 times) but it tasted okay. The staff was friendly and made good small talk.

Read moreI usually don't take the time to right reviews but I've gone here a bunch over the past couple months each time I hope it would be different each time I'm wrong the staff is rude and short and hap Hazzardly throw the ingredients onto the sandwich leaving a mess waiting for you when you unwrap it. Due to this laziness when making the sandwich they don't even use the proper portions half your ingredients might be on one side or the other if you even get the amount you pay for! hopefully service will get better here but I don't see...
