I tend to not post bad food experiences, but once we received ugly behavior from one of the workers... well, then I am not going to hold onto that.
We (bubble family of 15 with ages ranging 5 to 63) traveled to Corpus Christi for our first vacation weekend since the pandemic started. We decided to end our awesome weekend at Buffalo Wild Wings. There was one family in front of us with 13 people. We were all told that they didn't have traditional (bone-in) chicken in-stock, but we were willing to deal with that. There wasn't barely anyone there, but they seated us immediately with no problems.
We didn't have any problems until we started getting food a little while later. Food was delivered wrong, boneless chicken was cooked to rock hard, some food was never even cooked and brought out. We were never told that they were well under staffed until all the food was going wrong. We also noticed a little around that time that there was only one experienced server having to serve our table of 15, the table of 13, and many other small tables. Maybe there was two other young servers serving a couple smaller tables. Once we asked to cancel one of the two kids' food and sent back one out of the many meals that were burned to be done again and just made to go, we were told they only had one cook and the manager was trying to help out in the kitchen.
Things didn't get any better, but our server (I think her name was Casey) was good so we tipped her.
However, after most of us left out to our cars, two of our ladies went to the bathroom before leaving and discussed the experience wasn't what they were expecting after driving 30 mins to get to this location. A young worker busted out of the stall and began to berate the women because "what would we expect from a minor (under the age of 18) who is cooking and being understaffed." The person seemed to have a whole lot more words to rudely say to these paying customers who tipped as if there was nothing wrong (even though many of us had to leave most of the food on the plates becauseit could not be eaten due to being way over cooked or burned). I am proud of the two women because they chose not to replicate the ugly behavior of the worker.
I will NEVER visit this location again if I was in the area. I also wished that we saw the last few weeks' reviews before going or we wouldn't have went either. We could have avoided this whole situation if the manager would have just told us that they were short staffed when we came in. We would have went elsewhere coupled with that they didn't have what we were going there for in the first place (traditional wings). It took the staff around fifteen minutes to prepare the tables, despite it being well past noon. The uninterested attitude of the staff during this time was disheartening, ultimately resulting in a highly unsatisfactory experience. The female individual positioned at the entrance, responsible for welcoming guests, was observed to be attired in a manner that may be deemed unsuitable. Specifically, her attire revealed her stomache, while her trousers appeared excessively loose, posing a risk of descending from her waist. Consequently, she frequently adjusted her trousers while walking, indicating a need for a belt to secure them in place. During my brief visit, I observed numerous aspects that prompted me to strongly recommend the establishment of a new team characterized by enhanced professionalism. I purchased a chocolate fudge cake based on its visual representation and accompanying description, which indicated that it would be served with vanilla ice cream. However, upon wanting to know about the addition of ice cream, I was informed that it was not part of the offering, contradicting the information provided. Furthermore, I received a significantly smaller portion of cake than anticipated, despite paying nearly 8 dollars, resulting in an unsatisfactory and disproportionate serving size compared to the advertised depiction. It is important that all staff members exhibit a higher level of professionalism and preparedness to adequately cater to the needs of their customers. Consequently, this encounter can be classified as a negative experience. From a favorable perspective, the quality of the food was satisfactory. However, it is worth noting that certain things were inadvertently omitted from my order, necessitating a return visit. Read moreI just moved to Corpus Christi less than 30 ago, i see an add online about wings. I figured i am a single war veteran let me give myself a chance to get out. I decided maybe they have a curbside offer. Nope, dine or take out so I choose take out. My fault i go in circles trying to find this place, evidently my gps was not ready for construction. I call in requesting if they still honoring the military service meal. Yes outstanding! 2 hours later i call to assure myself i am at the right place. Yes outstanding! I go in mask and all, fairly busy Where is the management, i was confused heck the people behind were confused the lady hustling was even confused. I finally make at last courtesy yes thank i show my ID stressed due to my disability. I am still grateful, I get to my Truck happy to my dismay the order is incomplete. Still ok no worries i will call in to purchase what was missing. Ring.,,, hello i would like to complete my order by ordering some French fries. I hear some moving but no voice so after a long half minute yes 30 seconds i say hello yes would please explain your order again to me. Yes i had on order a military meal that if you would saw it you might even think it glows. Who ever made ice cubes shame no wonder the young was beside herself because she gave me suchba cold two different people from a different area talked to me the best way they could for they dont work in the take out section. So i ask myself did confuses so bad that nearly 20 minutes back on the phone as if she is doing me a favor by telling me what she is going to fo after i said cancel my order. I just wanted to cancel a large French why did it take twenty minutes. I don’t understand i know the young lady was not very nice your voice does not fool me regain your composer ask to start over its ok if you ask the goal to properly take down the order. That’s all you dont have to cool it. because i am sure there are others who would like a job. Trust me speed kills and when you are only as good as the person who sets the tone on the phone.
