This was the first time at this I-Hop. We were pretty excited to come in here until we got seated. Our first impression was the entrance actual building, it looks new and in good condition, however, the entrance door was broken, in the sense that once you let go of the door, it would shut down fast and very loud! We got seated almost immediately. We noticed the floors extremely dirty and some tables being balanced by extremely worn paper napkins. The booth that was given to us felt dirty. The back of the booth had a tear. The paper wall next to the booth and the glass dividers were stained and dirty. We started looking around and noticed the rest of the glass dividers in the same condition. Looked up in the ceiling and the panels had brown stains and just looked old and dirty. There was also a wooden white frame on the ceiling that was broken. Went into the bathrooms to wash our hands and there were not fully stocked and dirty. This was just our first impression of the place, we hadn't even ordered yet! As we were ready to order, the waitress had a friendly attitude but also looked stressed and busy. I asked about a cold coffee drink and she told me they didn't have it available. Then, I inquired about the shakes and was told the machine wasn't working unless I didn't mind having the ice cream shake too melted. I decided to get water and asked to have lemons with it. Since she also made us aware that the soda machine wasn't working either. Something to do with proper carbonation. My husband asked for coffee and his cup arrived dirty all over. She overheard my husband complaining to me and she made it right and brought him a different coffee in a completely clean cup. My water arrived without lemons. I was already bothered by the whole experience and lemons didn't matter anymore. The food was served correctly without any issues. While eating, I noticed how our waitress was not only attending to customers but was also clearing and cleaning tables. No refills were offered during the course of our meals. I just felt customer service was not the priority, mainly because of the lack of staffing. They weren't nailing customer service nor cleanliness. We have gone to many I-Hops in three different states, this one doesn't not meet I-Hop basic nor high standards. Where is Management in this location? What is the Area Manager doing to hold management accountable to keep this...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I definitely would. As we were entering the restaurant a girl was walking out very very upset because she was in the restaurant waiting on someone to seat her . 15 mins passed so she decided to just leave. My husband, my daughter and myself didn't want to drive the extra 8 miles to the other ihop on SPID so we went ahead and decided to go in and try it. We waited about 5 mins in the waiting are , until my husband decided to go to the kitchen and find someone working . It was a lady she sat us down and took our drink order . Took a good 15 mins took bring our drinks to us. When we started ordering I asked her if on the child's menu we could do substitution ( she said no) my daughter is a vegetable lover. But the child's menu really doesn't have any vegetables on them except corn . So I decided to just go ahead and add it. For some reason while we were ordering , she made me feel as if I didn't have money to pay for my food. Because for everything we added on our plates she would be like ( it's going to be an extra charge) something we are very familiar with because we always order the same thing when we go to ihop. Honestly I don't recommend this place . It's a really ghetto ihop. I also came on Valentine's ( midnight) with my son after I got out of work. The waitress kept on forgetting things. The cook seemed to not really care about the food he prepped for us . For it looked nothing like the picture and very sloppy. I asked for crepes they served me pancakes. Also ask for water for your coffee . Because they won't give you water w coffee. Unless you ask for it. This place needs either new management or new staff. Because I have heard a lot of bad things...
Read moreI hate to write bad reviews, but after my most recent experience at this restaurant, I believe I am obligated to write a review. We stopped at this IHOP on our way home from a long day at work. We have eaten here regularly over the years, and we have noticed the quality of the waitstaff and food slipping. But, we still kept going to the restaurant until now. Today we ordered 2 iced teas, the appetizer sampler and 2 BLTs. The appetizer sampler arrived after 20 minutes. The chicken strips were tough and cold. The waiter told us that he was new, but he was working there 2 weeks ago when we ate there. Surely after at least 2 weeks of employment, he should know how to enter orders into the computer! He never even placed our orders for the 2 BLTs. We waited an hour and we never received our sandwiches! The waiter would stop by our table periodically and act shocked and amused that we had not received our sandwiches yet and that we hadn't left! The booth beside us contained two people and they finally gave up and left, never receiving any of their food order. When it became clear that the waiter, for some reason, would not or was unable to place our sandwich order with the kitchen, we paid for the two iced teas and appetizer sampler, about $18, and left. I realize that the IHOP chain is rapidly fading away, but we have fond memories of IHOP from our college days. I guess that is why we have continued eating at IHOP all these years. But make no mistake, we will never eat at another IHOP again, and this particular location is to blame. Avoid...
