Food was completely unappetizing. We waited abt an hour to finally eat. Took us about 10-20mins to get drinks , they also stated their water was nasty? So it’d be an up charge for bottled water, we chose that to be safe. Waitress brought out empty cups with ice for our bottled water but we did not use them as they looked dirty. Another 25-30 to get our food, when we did my pancakes were missing. Waitress stated that’s why she didn’t like other people running her food but she got it out in the next 7-10mins. When my pancakes did arrive the bananas were soo black I have no idea why they would even put it on my pancakes if that was the case, I would of appreciated them just to tell me they had no good bananas to use. I had to take them off and put them to the side. Hash browns were absolutely disgusting had a taste as if they were cooked in old oil and were drenched in oil as well. Bacon and sausage were very oily as well. The only thing we appreciated from this dine in experience was the waitress, she was busy but nice and attentive.
Adding my response to Becca’s (the GMs) comment . I just read your response to my husband and his guys got big and he laughed. Your response was completely false; the least you can do is be honest. There was NOT a single empty plate out of the 6 plates we rcvd. The one close to empty was my husbands and at that he left all his greasy sausage & ate the rest bc it took forever to get our food and he was starving. I couldn’t eat my food. Left most of my hash brown. Gave my eggs to my daughter (those were good) . And left all 4 strips of meat on my plate . The pancakes that came late I only ate the outer corners and everything in the middle was left due to the nasty bananas on top. My daughters both left chocolate chip pancakes . So not sure where the “empty plates” comment came from. It definetly didn’t taste like “grandmas cooking” and this is coming from someone who knows grandmas cooking. I gave the benefit of the doubt for the things that were good but the rest? Please don’t lie and just do better, this review is to help you...
Read moreWhen arriving at this establishment their were a moderate amount of people but it was not too crowded. We waited about 45 minuets to be seated even though I could see about five empty tables during the wait .
After being seated we were never tended to and the waiter, waitress, and manager had passed by our table a few times. We were not asked about refreshments until after about 30 minutes because my friend asked the waiter if we could get some drinks. After finally being served drinks the waiter seemed agitated, by this time there were only about 3 other party’s in the establishment and one had walked out due to not being tended to.
At this point we had already invested an hour and a half in waiting at this Denny’s we were determined to stay until we were fed.
We were also exhausted since we had been standing up for more than eight hours at a concert. We were very hungry and probably dehydrated.
The waiter never came back even though he continued to pass by our table.
When the waitress finally passed our table again I asked her if we could get our orders taken since by this point in time we had already waited about two hours, she apologized for that and took our orders.
While the waitress took our orders the waiter passed by and I saw him roll his eyes.
The wait for the food took another hour.
During this time the manager was stacking chairs near our table and at one point I saw her get frustrated and throw a chair towards the ground. The chair hit the wooden floor and thundered so loudly my friends and I actually jumped in our seats. I can honestly say we were rattled.
When the waitress brought our food after what seemed like eons the food was over cooked and cold.
I’ve been to many Denny’s restaurants across Texas but I have never had an experience as unsatisfactory as I had when I went to this Denny’s.
The waitress was...
Read moreWe were a large party of musicians, road crew, and their respective "plus ones," in town for a performance at Brewster Street Icehouse the night before. It was the morning after the show and about half of us arrived first. We gave the hostess a heads up that we may have more people coming in and she sat us in a spot where we could easily expand the table and seating arrangement. Shelly (Rachell) was our server and was so welcoming! As the rest of the group straggled in over the next 15 minutes or so, Shelly handled them with grace, getting their drink orders and answering their questions about the menu items. All of our orders came out at the same time and there wasn't one mistake. I also want to add that our food was ready in a reasonable amount of time given that we were about a dozen people and there were a few other families there, too. So, props 🙌 🙌 🙌 to the chef(s) on that! Shelly kept our coffees hot and drinks topped off! (Bonus!) Overall, you won't be disappointed with this location. (They even had decorations up for Valentine's Day! ❤️🤗❤️)
📸UPDATE (October '25)🎞️ We are back in town and just had breakfast. We were lucky to have Shelly as our server again and she is just as bubbly and vivacious as she was on our first visit. The place was packed today but we were seated and had our drinks in a heartbeat. Once again, they're decorated for the holiday and there was no shortage of smiles and good spirits...
