I had the pleasure of dining at Hermanos Solis Restaurant #1 during a recent day trip to Corpus Christi, TX from Houston, TX on September 2, 2023. My friend and I decided to visit the Selena Museum, and after our museum adventure, we were famished and eager to sample some local cuisine. That's when we stumbled upon Hermanos Solis, and I must say, it was a delightful find.
My friend opted for a refreshing salad and a Topo Chico, while I indulged in the carne guisada. From the very first bite, it was clear that we were in for a treat. The flavors were authentic, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which were not only delicious but also reasonably priced, making the experience even more satisfying.
The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming and pleasant, adding to the overall dining experience. Despite the bustling crowd and a full parking lot, the service we received was prompt and attentive. Our waitress checked on us regularly, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable.
One feature that caught my attention was their drive-through window for food pickup. This is an incredibly convenient service that I wish we had back in Houston, TX. Sometimes, we crave a quick and delicious meal without the hassle of dining in or resorting to typical fast food options. Having the option to grab authentic Mexican food on the go is something I truly envy.
In conclusion, Hermanos Solis Restaurant #1 exceeded our expectations in terms of food quality, service, ambiance, and convenience. If you're in Corpus Christi and looking for a fantastic dining experience that won't break the bank, I highly recommend giving this gem a try. It's not only a great choice for a sit-down meal but also a convenient spot for a quick pickup when you're on the move. Kudos to Hermanos Solis for leaving us with such a...
Read moreOkay guys!! I am SUPER picky when it comes to my Tex Mex food! Especially my encheeelathas!! Well!! Well! Well!! I would eat here EVERYDAY if I could! My hubby surprised me with a trip to QProductions because I just love anything Sah-leeenas!! After a tour our tummies were growling. I think it was because during the tour they played such great Tejano music! We started off with the chips and salsa and please believe me when I say THE BEST chips! Out of this world! I could have eaten just those but, so glad I moved on to the next course…..encheelatha plate with enchiladas, rice and refried beans. TO DIE FOR FOOD!!! The waitress was awesome, I think she was working all the tables by herself and she did such a great job. She literally seemed to enjoy her job. The inside is a little outdated but I absolutely loved it. I felt as if it took me back to the 80s. Like when it was a treat to go to a restaurant with your parents or grandparents as a kid. Great atmosphere and great food! Highly recommend this place. Our bellies were full as we headed to the Hooks game. Very...
Read moreI really like this place. The food is good and the waitstaff is very nice. When we come to Corpus we have to eat here. However, today, I've got to say, I was pretty disappointed in this restaurant. My pancakes were not fully cooked. I ate 1/3 of it before I got to the mushy uncooked part of the pancakes, then I couldn't eat anymore, of course. I informed the waitress of the issue.. When the waitress brought the ticket to our table the pancakes were still on it. So we told the cashier (who was already made aware) and astoundingly, her response was that she would charge us only half price because some of the pancakes were eaten. My husband was ok with it, but I was floored, not to mention upset. I, myself, am in the customer service industry and am well aware that it is very very poor customer service...to charge your customer even half of something that's not completely cooked. I was really disappointed...
