Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend the Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger!

UPDATE. My review above came at a time when this Jack-in-the-box had a great manager. Unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case. Several times (twice today) l have entered the restaurant only to be greeted by nobody. NOBODY is watching the front counter. I stayed for about 4 or 5 minutes...but no one came to take my order. So......I left. I am amazed that any establishment can remain in business with such disregard for its customers.

UPDATE. It's getting harder to talk myself into going to this Jack-in-the-box. Frequently when I walk in, there is nobody tending the front counter. I will wait for 4 or 5 minutes and if no one comes to take my order, I will leave. This happens a lot.

Tonight, though, I did get to place my order. Unfortunately, they must have misplaced it. After over 35 minutes, I asked them if they forgot about me. They did apologize and brought me my order a couple minutes later. Total wait time was 42 minutes.

On the plus side, though, the order was prepared properly and I did enjoy the meal.

The staff was friendly and professional. Just terribly slow.

It's my hope that this store can improve it's service.

UPDATE (April 17, 2022) This store STILL has a problem staff the front counter. I waited 5 minutes before being acknowledged.

The wait time was longer than one might expect for a Jack-in-the-box. In fact, the drive-thru customers seemed a little upset by the long wait time.

I was the only dining room customer. Oh...a group of three came in, but after standing at the front counter for about 5 minutes, they turned and left.

Evidently, the restaurant needs more employees. The ones who were there were friendly and courteous. Just slow.

Another annoying thing about this location is the ice & soda machine. It's frequently out of ice. That was the case again today. It took me a while to grab the attention of an employee to get me some ice. THEN, the soda machine was OUT of Coke Zero (pretty much my only drink of choice). Go figure.

Anyway, I will probably try again next month and see if anything improves. But my confidence...

In 1972 my husband joined the Marine Corps and the first place we went to was a Jack In The Box when you actually had the Jack in the Box on sign. It was a little sad for my children when it got blown up literally on TV. But that's okay we made it up to them by taking them back and showing them that it was better and ever since then we had always been hoping to get a Jack In The Box until we got one in Corpus Christi Texas well, it would be nice if you could let me know how I could open a Jack In The Box of my own here in Kingsville Texas how can I go about getting financed. Pretty disappointed with my experience. The food seemed normal and fresh for 11:30pm, the staff was nice, if not playing a disappearing act here and there, but the store itself was a wreck. The lobby looked liked it hadn't been touched in at least an hour or longer, as nearly every table had food/wrappers on it, or hadn't been wiped. The soda machine had overflowed and sticky liquid covered that whole corner of the area. Even with the signs I was extremely uncomfortable trying to get a drink or napkins and stuff, I felt like I was going to slip and it left my shoes sticky. Going to the bathroom, it had most definitely not been checked "every hour". Toilet paper was strown about, and it pretty trashed in general. Luckily I was just in there to wash my hands.... I know we were in there the last thirty minutes of the dining room being open but, you're still open, and it's just not acceptable in my opinion to just leave everything untouched until you're closing...
