Been there at least 3 times, food is good and beer was cold. Our average ticket for 4 was over $100 each time. Unfortunately MIa's true colors appeared when there was a dispute over a $9.00 appetizer. What was on the electronic menu board and what was delivered was not to the satisfactory of the guest we brought. When food item and our concern was brought to the attention server, who then needed to bring to the attention on the manager, who then needed to call the owners. Only to tell us thank you for bringing the menu error to their attention. That they work hard all week get home tired and these typo errors just get passed them. She further provided us with additional information about the item ordered. That the portobello mushroom where much larger than their usual offering and the sausage/pepperoni/salami seemed disportional. Well at the end Mia's was very appreciative for bring this concern to their attention but could not offer a replacement item or could they remove the $9 item from the bill. Is was not about the $9 is just the principle of the transaction. Sorry Mia's, more goes into winning our business than what was recently...
Read moreLoved it! We ate inside. The atmosphere was great aside from no music inside or outside. We shared cheese bread which actually came out first as an actual appetizer. (It seems like most places around Corpus don't care about timing food correctly and we always end up with all 3 courses at once). I had the side Caesar salad and my husband had the garden salad. Both were very good-- fresh and crisp. We shared the kitchen sink pizza. It was very good! However, the bottom of the crust could have been crispier. It was very floppy. After dinner we went next door for ice cream. We were looking forward to trying Tillamook flavors of ice cream because everyone around here has Blue Bell, but they didn't have the Tillamook ice cream like their website said. They have Blue Bell just like everyone else (still great, just the same). I was also a bit disappointed that they were out of the waffle option. I was looking forward to ice cream on a waffle. I ended up with butter pecan in a chocolate dipped waffle cone--it was very good. Hopefully next time they'll have an ice cream with coconut and the...
Read moreI am so pleased this quirky little building has a new identity. It has pizza, pasta, and salads in the old garage bays paired with an ice cream parlor in the sweet little round store front, the centerpiece being a chubby, petite pizza oven with a tiled name.
From the fresh ingredients used for their standard menu, the staff has allowed me to pick a bit of this and that to create a ziti dish which pleases me. The chefs (cooks, pizza wizards?) made a garlic pizza perfect with the house salad. No wilted lettuce here, no soggy bottom pizza crust, just fresh salad fixin's and a variety of toppings.
The staff is helpful and willing to change things up. Mia Mia's is comfortable old style flexible with a new turn, best way to make customers eager...
