2 months ago I was there & again tonight (1/11/2024) Vanna not only came out with an angry attitude but she was so rude to a new employee. She must really hate working there or she's related to the owner. Whatever reason for her horrible treatment towards others is beyond me. I don't know why she's allowed to treat others with disrespect. My family has me go get their orders & they don't think I should have to be treated that way. The owner is obviously not interested in how customers are treated. I've worked in restaurants, deli & a yacht club & was always expected to treat customers with respect.
I went inside & ordered in the dining area because it was late & you order to go in the line where dine in. Vanna, that's name she gave, is always rude to me. A male customer was in line in front of me also ordering to go plates. I noticed her smiling at him, she offered him taste of the turkey & gave him mac n cheese w/o the extra charge for mac n cheese (even though there's sign for extra charge). I told Vanna that I wanted a brisket plate twice. She proceeds to slice brisket & puts it on bun. I told her I didn't order sandwich & she tells me yes you did. I told her no that I told her brisket plate twice. She still argues w/me. Another employee put 2 sides in container w/brisket. I tell Vanna I have my orders on paper & reading to her. She turns around & leaves without taking the rest of my order. An employee comes from back that Vanna told to finish my order. I order 1 more plate & next is 1 chopped beef sandwich not a plate. I go to get pickles after I pay & Vanna thinks I had left. I asked her name & thanked her before I walked out. Vanna never smiles when she sees me & treats me as if I've done something wrong simply because I'm ordering. This is the 2nd time that I order a brisket plate & she insists that I ordered sandwich. I even told her to look at my paper that I showed to her where I had 2 plates & at end there's 1 chopped beef sandwich but it's not for brisket. But she refused to look & listen. As soon as she sliced brisket for 1 plate she left counter without saying excuse me or anything to me. Then a different employee took over to assist me. I feel bad having to give this review because I don't think Vanna will ever treat me any better. She shouldn't argue with customers, tell me I said sandwich when I said plate twice tonight. As I stated she has done this more than once & this is not respectful towards customers. There weren't any customers behind me until after I finished paying. Read moreNeed to improve customer service. Twice out of the last several times I have gone to Millers, I had problems with the service. One issue was when I was picking up an online order from the side entrance (for takeout), they were busy, but 2 ladies from the front entrance were just standing there talking and looking at their phones. I felt like they could have at least checked with me to see if my order was ready. The second issue I had was an online order when the side entrance was closed, so I had to go to the front entrance. The lady saw me start to head to the side entrance first, so she knew I had a takeout order. I had to stand in line for over 10 minutes behind the people who walked in and ordered. She could've asked the guy in the back to bring my order, or taken a second to grab my order herself. Instead, it got cold sitting there, and I had no choice but to wait because I had already paid for it online. Otherwise, I would've left and gone somewhere else. She was also rude about it. Too bad I didn't get her name. Also, the brisket just doesn't have any flavor any more. I think the rest of the food is still good, but a side salad would be a really good addition to the menu for those of us who don't want to eat carbs. The green beans are really good! Broccoli, so-so. The owners wife is a real nice lady over the phone, but sadly the company doesn't mirror her sympathetic personality and tries to save face when left with a bad review. My mother fell while walking in the parking lot and didn't notice a huge hole in the asphalt due to no warning cones or signs in place. The manager who is apparently on video “running outside” after my mother fell, offered no assistance nor compassion to my mother. Not once was she asked if she was okay or needed anything like ice or bandages after my moms hands were cut up, she just simply stood there and watched as my mother got up from the ground. (Her phone screen was also cracked and ruined from the incident) Also theres apparently a video of the cashier “placing” the receipt on the counter, which is also not true, my mother asked for the receipt and he tossed it at her out of agitation for the tone in my mothers voice after recently falling in their parking lot and getting no type of compassion or sympathy. I almost had my mother take her review down after my phone call speaking with the owners wife, but after they tried to save face and discrediting my mothers review, i’m glad she didnt.
