Very upset and disappointed. Bad management and Poorly trained employees. On Friday October 6, I went through the drive through at your Corpus Christi, TX Popeye's on Saratoga at around 6pm. When I got to the window I was told my order had been messed up on the register and they were working on crediting my card. Then the mgr said they would just charge me the difference. The two receipts turned out not to be mine, but the mgr said totals were correct. I was then told to pull around to the front and my order would be brought out, waiting on my two cinnamon apple pies. I was one of four vehicles waiting in the front. I waited for an additional 10 mins. The guy in front and vehicle behind me got their orders. However, the guy in front was upset after looking in the boxes got out and went inside. As he walked back to his car he looked at me and said, "check your order closely because mine was completely wrong" I asked him, "Did you get a four piece 2 breast 2 thighs and ..." he said yes. They had given him my order without the pies. As he pulled away my order came out and I told the worker you gave my order to the car in front of me and he went through the boxes. He said not to worry they recooked and repackaged it, which was a lie because the car in front had just pulled off when my order came. As the worker walked away I looked inside to verify the order. After all that time waiting for two fricken pies, only one of my two pies was in the bag. After signaling for a while, someone finally saw me and came out to me. Told him one pie was missing. He went inside got another pie and handed it to me all pissed off as if it was my fault.
We love Popeye chicken but we just couldn't get past the fact that another customer had rifled through our boxes of chicken. Needless to say, we didn't trust our food so we threw away the entire order. And sadly, not a single worker nor the mgr said they were sorry for all the confusion and waiting.
That store, manager and shift are in desperate need of supervision and training, customers will not tolerate such quality...
Read moreTwo years ago we started coming to this location. Great service no complaints. Slowly over time they kept getting the orders wrong. We would order a 5 piece tenders basket and we’d get home to see they gave us a 3 piece. We would order pies and they would forget them. Or when they would get our orders right the chicken tenders were so small and not the usual size. My husband got us dinner here tonight and they of course forgot our pies. Our food was disgusting. The chicken tenders were so hard to eat. They were a nice size but they were stale and hard to bite into. They definitely weren’t fresh. They were out of sweet tea. They were out of to go boxes so our food came in like a paper basket type thing. The fries weren’t even filled. I had less than 1/2 a bag of fries. I ate 2 tenders and the small amount of fries before my stomach started feeling sick. My husband and I were eating our dinner in two different rooms in the house and he came to where I was at to ask how my food was. I told him it was disgusting and he said his was too. Not sure what he got our son for dinner and if his was bad too but we are not eating here again. 6 hours later and I still feel like I’m going to throw up. Read moreI never leave reviews but i had a horrific experience here. We placed our order and then waited about 15-20 minutes to get to the front window. They told us here to pull up to the front of the store because we were waiting on the tenders we ordered. We waited here for another 15-20 minutes before being told to move our car up more to make room for another car. After an hour of waiting and watching the four employees in the store talk to each other and do no work my boyfriend went inside. He stood there for about ten more minutes before we got any food, no one apologized for the wait or offered any sort of explanation for our 45 minute wait. We arrived around 9:30 and left at 10:30. The behavior of these employees, the manager included, was unacceptable. While he was in there only one person spoke to him while the others talked on their headsets using lots of profanity. After all of that, we got home to see our order was missing items and mostly incorrect. If it weren’t for this being one of two Popeyes in the area we wouldn’t return.
