I went to Rigatoniâs and ordered Manicotti. It looked good when it arrived. When I cut into it, the ricotta cheese on the inside was black, not white. Thatâs how much pepper was in there. I attempted to try the other side of the dish, and the noodles were raw. I sent it back that I did not like it. Our waitress was sweet. She provided great service. A male waiter came and asked if I wanted something else. I said no. and he insisted that I order something else. I again told him no thank you but wanted some more bread for the table. When our checks were brought to us, I received my bill of $8.59. I asked why am I getting charged for a meal I did not eat. (mind you, the price of the dish was $8.99). The waitress responded that i was given a discount and should be happy with that. Granted I ate a cup of Chicken Florentine Soup with literally 1 leaf of spinach and 2 pieces of chicken and about 3 slices of bread. So I fully intended to pay for the food I had eaten. The waitress then took my ticket back and the male waiter returned stating did I have a soup or salad because I was not leaving without paying. I told him that was really crappy but that I had a soup. My 3 coworkers then paid their bill and then the owner Nora came to the table. She asked âWas everything all right?â. I responded â No it wasnâtâ. She then replied while using her hand and yelling over my coworker âI tasted your food and there was nothing wrong with it so the problem was youâ. I told her âthatâs you opinion but it did not taste good at allâ. She then moved to the other side of the table continuing to yell. I told her in a calm voice âit was a bad experience, no apology necessary we just wanted to leave. This ignited her. Nora began to shout âYou are rude and you need to never cover come back in here again!â There was 3 other patrons in the restaurant. I asked her name and she replied âNoraâ. I asked for her last name and she said âNO wayâ. I then told her by her yelling at me and throwing her hands in my face she was being rude and she replied â you the rude one because I came over here to apologize and you didnât let me. â Again, I had no intention of insulting her, I just thought it was a random bad meal and no big deal. She was so offended that I did not like her food that she yelled at me. At this point, my coworkers were waiting for their cards returned and another patron walked in, she then walks over to that man and says â they are trying to eat and not payâ. She then continued to bad mouth us to this customer. We get our cards and leave. After reading reviews on facebook and talking to other people in the community apparently this lady Nora...

It was 4pm in the afternoon. I arrived there n was the only customer. The cooling a.c kept my from melting but the cozy look of the dining area warmed me. The tables were small enough for 1-4. Even in this temperature change of a heat wave it had a low light ambiance embracing feeling of romanticism. This place could deffenatly be for a date night or a serious family outing. Or in my case wanted to treat myself to something nice. The prices are very modest. Unfortunately, like most Italian resturant they only serve wine. My waitress Norma was very helpful with wine selections. Every drink was served in a wine glass with the exception of water in a hogh ball glass. I ordered the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and marinara sauce. The fried chicken patty was so thick n juicy. N the garlic bread was an excellent bread for the meal. It was 3 toasted pieces, but not burned so u could easily tear with ur hands. The music matched the atmosphere and kept the energy to a certain level that was much needed. It had a chill low vibe.. DOWN SIDE: Becareful sitting on the toilet of the ladies restroom n washing ur hands the toilet n sink is kinda loose. N The bar doesnt really scream eat at the bar. They only serve wine so dont think about any margaritas whiskeys or draft bottles, but then again. Eating at the table i think is a better experience. The corner of the bar has a keyboard n mic for a small live entertainment. Available Fridays and saturdays only 7pm to closing. In the end, this place is definatley a hidden gem that needs to be shared with all of corpus chrisit. InWILL DEFINATELY BE COMING BACK. On a Friday or Saturday evening to dine in with a significant for a date night n have the entertainer sing me Franks Sinatras "My...
Read moreI must say the group that came in tonight, we love this place, the food has always been a hit. But tonight, the lemon chicken came out and it was dry and it had a gross black spot in the chicken. So the food was not eaten. And frankly was grossed out and didnât have an appetite anymore. The dish was addressed to the waitress and the waitress told the owner. I was shocked at the behavior of the owner. She came and rudely said she would take the plate off but was still charging for the salad that comes with the dish. She didnât apologize, she didnât offer any other solution. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at us. Super embarrassing. The owner argued that the some of the chicken had been eaten and that was the case as to why she was unwilling to remove the food from the bill. After trying to come to a more reasonable solution, she did remove the dish she told us to leave and not come back. Very unprofessional, rude and embarrassing. I donât want to go back. When we left the building Troy approached our party and sincerely apologized for the situation and assured us he would have provided better costumer service. That in itself extinguished the upsetting feeling as we left. Even if we were not told not to come back with the owners behavior most definitely wouldnât return and support...
