Was supposed to have a nice breakfast with my mother, she enjoys/ enjoyed going there. Today was not an exception to say the least. For a Sunday it was busy. For me it was as this was the first time and last time for me. Wait staff is very familiar with who she is,as I mentioned she's a regular there with her family members. Mother and I,always start off breakfast with coffee and pan dulce) sweet bread,or pastry for the fancy people. Mother asked for the pork chop breakfast plate...no refried beans, but add a side of charro beans. She has reflux with refried beans. So she asked for her plate to be removed for obvious reasons. One wait person was trying to explain but not removing the dish. She did her part in taking the order, she was ok. The cook (s) failed to do theirs !!! The second wait staff made pun of this as he/ she knows her/ mother too well. I wasn't amused. Finally her dish is removed and a fresh one brought out..again to a bit more pun. Still not amused. We tried to enjoy our meals but the want for a nice breakfast had passed š. She enjoys this place along with it's menu...it'll end here with my breakfast...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām one to be very VERY specific on my Mexican food, FRESH, AUTHENTIC, and SPICY if I can, here I was very pleased, Iād looked all over corpus at good Mexican restaurants wondering if any could be good, I spotted one before this but it was actually being renovated, so apparently I was destined to find this haha, it was insane, I was craving chorizo tacos or torta, something fresh and fire, I looked and they had tortas for 5.99, which I havenāt seen one that low in a long time, so I immediately thought, thatās the test right there, see if itās anything to talk about, and I can say they actually delivered very well. The Chrorizo was cooked very well as well as the torta in general, made authentic like I wanted it, and they even brought out habanero sauces and their hottest for me which was cool, to be honest I have a high tolerance but I wasnāt really phased much by the hottest sauce, but it was all very very good and I wasnāt happy with it, even their chips were amazing, homemade and fresh, with some beautifully...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son introduced me to la cabana restaurant. I must say the restaurant reminds me of when i was young. The hispanic presence in the restaurant embraces my cultural heritage. The waitress and waiters are quick to attend you and ensure all is well with your drinks and meal. I had breakfast, the potato and egg ala mexicana plate with bacon and refried beans and it was very good. I really enjoyed dining there and will definitely return. Just an fyi parking is limited in the front so you will need to park in the back of the restaurant. The parking area is a lot. Nothing fancy to it but again this reminds me of the 60s when i was young and my family would go out to eat after church. Ahhh the memories. I recommend you try it. Expand...
