Of all the places we ate in Colorado while vacationing with our nieces, this was our favorite place. It was a beautiful night, and we were seated on the patio. Live music enhanced the atmosphere, and the tiny lights under the umbrella illuminated our meal. Tyler greeted us, and lead us to the patio. He brought us delicious homemade bread, with equally delicious fresh raspberry jam. We didn’t need the butter. He also brought us water and utensils and napkins. He was a very pleasant young man. Katie was our waitress, and she, too, was wonderful. She took our orders, after answering our questions about several menu items. Young niece had an Arnold Palmer to drink, husband got iced tea, snd older niece got the margarita with a grilled pineapple. Hers was the only drink that was just okay - no more grilled pineapples in alcoholic drinks. Didn’t add to the drink. Young niece got the children’s sirloin tips, with apple sauce & garlic mashed potatoes. She let us taste a little of each, and we agreed with her - excellent dinner! Her mom got the potato soup before her entree, and shared it with her daughter. They liked it so much that they almost ordered another - but then they would not have been able to eat their entrees! Mom got the avocado salad and loved every bite. I got a smaller version, and loved it, too. Husband got the barbecue ribs - St. Louis ribs which were tender and sweet. Since the shoe string fries & house salad with home made dressing (which came with the ribs) were SO GOOD, all were devoured, too. He got asparagus and I’m glad he gave them to me. Soooo good! He’s not a fan of asparagus. But I am! We did not have room for dessert, and we saw the huge cheesecake when we walked in. It looked like the real NY cheesecake we love! Maybe next tine - and we really hope for a next time. This is a fantastic place, and we will be back when we are in the area. You who live in the area have a real hidden gem!

Shiloh steakhouse is a fun little place that the locals say it is one place you need to go. After we walked in i could see that they have a live musician playing music on his guitar and singing. With the aesthetics and the music playing together it gives you a nice family gathering feel, like your at one of your family dinner parties. We started off with the fried clam strips with lemon and cocktail sauce. The breading is crisp and the clams are nicely cooked. I got the mango daiquiri and my wife the Arnold Palmer and both drinks are constructed wonderfully. We both got the salad, mine with ranch and my wife got the blue cheese. Both salads are very freash and crisp and the blue cheese was very good. For the main course i got the bacon wrapped filet mignon cooked medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes and steak fries. My wife got the country fried bison steak with garlic mashed potatoes as well. The filet was cooked beautifully and well seasoned so that the bacon wasn't over powering the filet but complemented it perfectly. The steamed vegetables was nice and didnt taste like any of them are raw. The skin on the steak fries are nice and crispy and the inside has a nice firm soft core and they are also seasoned well. Our server Akira was very attentive and very professional and it felt like she was there to make sure we got taken care of. Over all we are very happy with the food that we have been served and we will definitely be coming back here next time we are down here in Cortez Colorado.

I started off with their drink special, a Grilled Pineapple Margarita which was d e l i c i o u s !!! My hubby and I shared a dinner of Country Fried Bison. Our personable and terrific server, Misty, told us it's pan fried, not deep fried and served with a side of white gravy. The meals include your choice of side, vegetable, homemade bread and soup or salad. We chose salad, asparagus and baked potato. Everything was excellent and delectable😋 The homemade bread was so very good and served with butter and a raspberry dipping sauce. Their menu offerings include 8 salad varieties; 8 types of burgers - beef, bison, elk and Navajo Taco burger; pasta w/marinara, Fettuccini Alfredo; fajitas, BBQ ribs; 4 types of chicken dishes, 5 seafood dishes; 3 Surf and Turf choices; 9 different steaks, elk and bison included. They also offer 9 types of appetizers. A variety of 7 sandwiches are served daily from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Shiloh's is locally owned and has been in business for 20 years. The patio was our choice and had a nice ambiance with a pond and waterfall. If after your first bite you're not happy with your meal, tell your server and they'll be happy to recook or replace your meal👌 Their hours are 11:00am to 8:30 or 9:00pm depending on customer traffic. They are closed Sundays and Mondays. A wonderful experience👍👍👍👍👍

We had high hopes due to online reviews and hearing people waiting in line to be seated saying how good it was. We waited at the door for at least 15 minutes before being added to the list. Nobody was at the front to greet anyone standing in line and whenever the gentleman came to the front, he didn’t even look up. After getting on the list and waiting outside talking to a friendly couple, we were FINALLY walked back after several tables left and having to go check in with them AGAIN. A gentleman apologized and told us he had a large party he just took care of that he wasn’t the waitress, but a cook. - super nice guy. Our waitress comes and we order right away.. thinking it’ll be a quick turn around. An hour goes by and the waitress said “I’m sorry we had a large party come in and we just finished with them..” I’m like ?? How much longer because we’d like to leave if it’s another 30 minutes or so. (We explained how exhausted we were) She disappeared, meanwhile a lot of other tables received their food, got to check out, and was leaving. More tables sat down and ordered right away so I’m like ??? I flagged down another waiter and I said “hey can we please pay for our drinks? We’ve been here for 1.5hrs now and we’d just really like to go. We already let her know if it was going to take a while, to let us know. She hasn’t came back. Another 15 minutes go by and here is our food. Our burger and kids food was WAY over cooked while our potato and fries were under cooked. Probably the worst part is that you’d think after suggesting we should just leave since they were so busy, they would honor our request… not slap together an awful meal to people that were absolutely exhausted. 88$ …. Awful. Seriously. Have better manners and respect for people who’d rather leave and not make them pay for an expensive meal that took nearly 2 hrs to get and wasn’t even...
