In short, good looking place, bad service, mediocre food, and general incompetence from the staff.
At a glance it is a nice looking little place, it was clean and well presented. From there, everything was a bit of a let down. The server was fairly slow at doing anything which was strange considering there were only two tables other than ourselves in the whole restaurant. I ordered the Mongolian beef, and what I got was flavorless beef drowned in hot oil. Don't get me wrong, I love spicy food, and like when hot oil is used liberally, but what I had was almost a soup. My fiance's lemon chicken was better, but not by much. When it came time to pay, we just sat there while she had a conversation across the restaurant with a co worker, waiting for our bill. What happened next is why I won't ever be going back. I gave the waitress my card, and after a bit she brought it back saying it didn't work. I figured it was strange but maybe my card was going bad and not reading. My fiance offers to pay with her card, and the same thing happens. We tell the cashier to check her system because me and my fiance do not share a bank account and so her system failed to process two credit cards from two bank accounts. The waitress then begins to argue with us saying she has been running orders all day. I can get that, but clearly it wasn't working at the moment. So my fiance had to go next door at WinCo where she used her perfectly fine credit card to get cash so we could pay and go. All in all, just a bad experience that left a bad taste in my mouth, in more...
Read moreFood is okay but the service is absolutley terrible and the even after complaining the issue remained. Servers were rude and will pressure you into leaving 40 minutes before closing by interrupting your meal and reminding you that "we close at 10" and asking you continuously if "you need boxes". After we got annoyed and decided to pay the bill and leave, we were chased out of the resturant because they forgot to add a mysterious 15% charge for gratuity and were asked to calculate and add the charge ourselves. After I complained to a manager named Ken, I was told the issue would be solved and that I should come in and receive a discount on my next meal. When I showed up, nobody was aware of the situation so I had to explain it again to a waitress who offered me 50% off of my meal. After I was done eating, I received a bill with only 15% off. The waitress, confused, went back to her manager, who came back and began yelling at me so as to accuse me of trying to get out of paying the bill. They made my girlfriend and I very uncomfortable and embarrassed so I left without arguing and payed the bill without question. Im never returning to this place again and I would advise the same.
EDIT: Instead of trying to solve the problem, the owner will accuse you of lying. Very nice. Owner and servers have a lot to learn about customer service and constructive criticism. Needs new management/owner. If you cants serve people well and with courtesy, I would respectfully advise you to sell...
Read moreThis is no ordinary American Chinese restaurant. They serve those typical Meeks we all know and love, sweet and sour, general Taos and the sort, but they go way beyond. The owner is one of the most hospitable owners, I’ve seen him answering the craziest questions. When Chinese students come to a restaurant 3 times a day for meals you know it’s authentic. You can order sweet and sour anything at 10 different Chinese restaurants and get something slightly at each, so it could be different that what you’re used to, it will be good none the less. Talk to those who work there and tell them what you like and ask for suggestions. I ordered boiled fish, scared me a little but what a treat it was!! I’ve never waited for a long time and it’s always clean. This is a gem and I hope know one finds out about it because I don’t want to have to wait in long lines behind you🤣 It’s nice to know we don’t have to go to Portland or LA or even China to get great authentic Chinese food, we have it right here in little...
