Fresca's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

I was looking for a good lunch place close to my work, I found this restaurant and checked out, it looks good from outside, I ordered a carne asada burrito, it costs way more than I expected, I paid 13.98 before tip for it. The flavor was mediocre, the salsas that came with it were bland, the burrito was smaller than average and it was filled up mostly with beans and rice, very little meat. The lady mentioned that on Fridays you can get a free taco with a purchase of something else. I glanced at the board and the regular price of a taco was around 5 dollars. Surprisingly good. This is a "hole in the wall" resturant where you go for great food at a low price, not the ambience. I was very surprised at the high quality food. We order the family special and choose the 2 lbs of fajita style chicken. I definitely will return to Fresca's Mexican Grill. Good salsa bar also, something that is harder to find since COVID. Where to start, was in the area & ordered carne asada torta that was full of fat and rubbery, ordered asada quesadilla the meat was just as bad with tortilla drenched in oil/fat (dropping), fish tacos weren't any better (made u wonder if it was really fish). Waste of time & money, most ended up in the trash except chips & salsa... WON'T be going back, better to go to Taco Bell across the street!! When will we b able to give...
