Madeleine's — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

This is a laid back, friendly neighborhood watering hole. The bartenders are nice people who can mix a good, strong drink. They have 2 pool tables, a modern jukebox, an attached smoking patio & Keno. They serve microwave pub grub, but there are several restaurants within stumbling distance. There's even a laundromat next door, so you can tip one back & wash your underwear at the same time !! Whadda Country !!! The mix of different types of people varies from day to day & hour by hour. Good place to people watch or chat with strangers. !....& Fellas ....Madeline's is not the best bar to take your new date, unless you two have already "sealed the deal"......& Ladies, you will be outnumbered at least 10 to 1 in there, so do expect a lot of male attention.......All said, Mad's gets 5 Drunken Stars in my book !!

We were in town, visiting family members. It turned into a full-blown nightmare for my son and I. To erase the negativity, our hotel clerk recommended this jewel of a bar across street...from the moment we stepped into this place, it turned into an awesome experience and made our last night in town, fun and relaxing. Holy heck is this place an oasis in the desert. Instead of water they have the sweet nectar of booze. I pre-gamed here for my bachelor party. It was unreal - all my boys got super laid. I highly recommend this place. Very affordable drinks and the chili cheese dogs are way better than anything out of Nyc or Chicago They have the rarest of craft beers and even offer mustache trimmings for all hipsters.
