If I could grade this place on creativity alone, it would warrant the five star rating. Same with the service, which wasn't bad (and I appreciate the throwback to rock music here.) That all said, I found the offerings here to be too complex for the sake of being complex. I appreciate variety but Outpost has a tendency (maybe too much so) to throw 32 flavors in your direction when maybe 8 would be better. I could see this being more of a hit among the millennial crowd than with the boomers, X'ers, or Xennials. That said, I've certainly had worse and hope this review serves less to dissuade diners from checking them out and more for the business themselves to consider toning it down a little. I mean heck, if you're playing Foreigner instead of King Crimson when I walk into the door, then don't serve me King Crimson on a plate instead of Foreigner on a plate when it comes to food. ...

I don't know where to start. Our waitress seemed a little inebriated and was slurring her words. She messed up our coffee orders bringing two hot coffees when one order was a COLD brew. When she went to "fix" them she just dumped hot coffee in a glass of ice and called it "iced coffee". When she was clearing off the table of another party, she took a dirty plate and gave it to the dog without the owners permission and luckily for her, the owners weren't all that upset just seemed like they were ready to go. When it came time to pay, she also clicked the highest amount of tip possible before handing me the digital check. Wow. Vegan wow. Surprising wow. We came in from out of town and wanted a vegan breakfast. We went to a few different places that were fortunately closed because we found this place. I got the strawberry banana vegan pancakes and my husband got the breakfast burrito. Normally I don’t even order pancakes because they turn to mush, these were so fluffy and spongey almost. The flavor was like nothing I’ve ever experienced with a plate of pancakes. My husband who is a wrap/ burrito lover swears that this burrito was his favorite breakfast burrito to date. We come to California for travel and work often and we will be back. Can’t wait to try their other location. Thank you for making amazing food. This is how good should be.
