Mombo's Pizza — Restaurant in Cotati

We had heard through the grapevine that Mombos had really good french fries so we decided to check it out. The location in Sebastopol didn't have fries so we went to the Cotati location. The guy working that night had owner vibes and was just a really cool guy. I was excited that they did pizza by the slice and the slices were huge. I got the bacon chicken one and asked if they could do a BBQ sauce drizzle and they accommodated my request and I know it's silly but it was the most perfect drizzle ever. Not too much, just the right amount. Now for the pizza - it was excellent and I've been all over Italy on a pizza tour. Mombos crust actually reminded me of the pizza we had outside of Pompeii... the region of Italy where pizza was born! So yeah, we have a new favorite pizza place. And specifically the Cotati location because we tried the Sebastopol location about a week later and it was good also, but the Cotati slice was just... super fresh and perfectly warmed up with a crispy crust. There are lots of great pizza places in Sonoma County, ranging from basic to "artisinal" and I usually go for the more fancy kind of pizza but the Cotati Mombos has now totally won me over. Mombo's is a new to Cotati restaurant that offers a tasty experience to the downtown vibe. You order at the counter, while I prefer a sit down restaurant experience, more restaurant are going to this business model.

Our table ordered jalepeno popper bites, fried ravioli and the Mombo combo.

The jalepeno popper bites are a vision of happiness, the caramelized onions were incredible, and complemented the bacon, jalepeno perfectly.

The fried ravioli were cooked perfectly and arrived nice and hot to the table.

The Mombo combo was crispy on the bottom and packed with flavor.

My only suggestion would be to sell pitchers of beer, this would provide the ultimate customer service experience.

Who wants to shell out $0.75 for extra ketchup? They give you a pound of delicious fries but want to charge extra for ketchup? They do offer 2 cups of ranch or ketchup with the purchase, but need enough to dip every fry? Whip out that credit card again! Charge for ranch like normal places, but not the ketchup. They offer bottomless soda, but $0.75 for an extra 2 ounce cup of ketchup? The guy taking the order also misheard our simple drink order, and instead of saying "Hey, I'll fix it, that'll be $8" he wanted to argue with us and say it was our fault instead of just getting the extra glass and ringing it up. Why argue first? It doesn't make sense. We like going in monthly, and bring new folks along before going to a comedy show, but we may reconsider...
