McDonald's — Restaurant in Coudersport

We went through the drive-thru. The total was shown on the screen. I gave the total in cash rounded to the next dollar instead of exact change. (Eg. $14.27 would have been $15) Anyway, at the window, the guy says I'm $5 short. When I act confused he mumbles it must be the apple pie I got. ($5 ???!!?) He then doesn't give me a receipt like they always insist upon giving you. I pull away and realize the total made NO sense so I went back through and ask for my receipt. Sure enough! It was the total that I had originally seen and he had said I overpaid by $5 so that was "given back in change" (why would I choose to do that? It wasn't just paid with a larger bill which was $5 more, I had to pull a $5 out to hand to him!

So I went inside and told them that he had lied and tried to steal $5. They supposedly counted the drawer and gave me my $5. I think what he does is keeps the receipts that he rips people off so that at the end of his shift he knows how much to pocket from the drawer.

Also, the two other people and I ALL had hard, stale buns and floppy cold fries.

Wish I could take stars AWAY and I don't just give bad reviews. I almost never review...

All food was cold, watched as employee multiple times placed food on our tray for our order and then removed food items from our tray to fill orders for customers who ordered after our order all while I was being given attitude from the girl at the counter. Soft drinks tasted as though syrup was either running out or had been turned down. Fries tasted stale like they had been sitting under the heat lamp too long. Expected cheeseburgers to at least be hot since they were the main item on our tray that kept being pieced out to other customers orders but no they were cold as well. Cheese on burger wasn't even melted. Salt and pepper has been removed from tables by new management as well as ketchup dispenser. It appears as though it has been some time since bathroom has had a deep cleaning and air conditioning was either not working or was barely on as temperature in dining room was quite warm and employees behind counter were very sweaty. I don't think I'll be going back to this McDonald's...

Listen.. I get that this is a small town but going to McDonald's in the evening amd ordering a McChicken does not warrant y'all to serve a stale bun, dried chicken sandwich with wilted lettuce. How long did it sit there? Were y'all just waiting for someone to come through to buy that 10 hour old McChicken? How long does it seriously take to make a fresh one to keep customers happy? Disappointing.

My first comment above was 6 years ago!!! You'd think they would have gotten better?! Nope. We go more than we probably should but, small area.. slim pickings. The last 5 times we have went, we have received stale old french fries and if you ask for no salt, they don't give you fresh.. they will run those old stale fries back through the fryer. It's not rocket science to cooking folks.. its Laziness! I've worked fastfood so I get it. But come on! If you have one job do, do your best no...
