I know that it is very unlikely that anybody will acknowledge this review. I hope that this review will be read by someone and they will take their business elsewhere. Nobody deserves to be treated the way my boyfriend and I are.
We aren’t picky people. We’ve both worked food service and we try to be extremely understanding about most circumstances. When you go to a fast food joint, you expect fast food and fast service! That’s why you go. This was no exception. We arrived at Mcdonalds and were the only people in line. We got looks from multiple employees who were standing around but nobody said anything. My boyfriend and I then exchanged a look with each other and stood patiently waiting for someone to take our order. We waited and waited for what I’d say was near five minutes. My boyfriend expressed that we were about to leave and go across the street to Burger King. It took another customer walking in tbe building for a older, african american woman to come behind the register. She stared at us and said nothing. I nudged my boyfriend who was unaware someone had even come to the register.
This is where I’d expect someone to say “I apologize for your wait!” or “how can I help you?” or ANYTHING at all. Instead we approached her and ordered... And she said nothing to us at all. I expressed that I has a mobile coupon and tried to pass her my phone and she only pointed to the little machine I was supposed to use for the QR code. After she told the total and paid she walked away. I asked for my drinking glass and she continued to walk away.
So here we were standing at the window. A man walked up to greet the person who had walked up behind us. We continued to wait. He moved to walk away and asked if we were waiting for a drink. We finally got it and sat down.
Our food was average, nothing special. It is what was to be expected after the service we had received when ordering. It just amazes me that when you get paid around $11.00 an hour to work at a fast food joint that you can’t even smile or greet someone! Read moreThis McDonald's location "16th and Broadway in Council Bluffs ", is extremely lucky I am keeping this review as nice as I can and that one star is the lowest you can give for a review. But not just once, twice, three, four or even five times, but almost everytime I stop at this location, they either miss an ITEM or ITEM'S, mess up on a special order such as a plain cheeseburger for my daughter or something as simple as ordering a double quarter pounder for myself, just to get a 10 piece chicken nuggets instead. I always ask myself why do I keep stopping at this location, the only answer I have is that it is on my way home and only a mile away from where I live. I believe in second chances and even multiple chances, but they are unbelievable. I believe that some of the younger workers really do try. But I must blame the management here. It is awful. What's going on in there? Why do they mess up so many orders. It's just not myself either that has this problem with this location on multiple occasions. I know others who have had these same problem here. I guess the best thing I can offer on this review is either, travel out of your way to a different McDonald's location or there are several other options in the area to eat or drive thru, such as Burger King literally across the street, Runza a couple blocks away and other fast food restaurants, depending on what you are hungry for. Finally, I don't like giving restaurants such a negative review like this. But, I love food, appreciate good customer service and they really lack EVERYTHING. Read moreWe placed a mobile order around 7:30 pm, we sat there and watched them clear out drive thru at least 5 times fully and still didn't have our food. I sent my boyfriend inside to check on the food and he was told that "nobody could speak English and couldn't help him and our order wasn't there" so we called corporate where they pulled up said order and confirmed it had been placed, we waited for another about 15 minutes until I went in myself and was told that "they didn't have the order and it never went through the system", after waiting an hour all together we finally received our food. Lobby was absolutely disgusting, drinks everywhere, all trash cans overflowing to the point of customers just leaving trash at the tables and my feet were sticking to the floor. The manager on duty was Josh and as I was walking out one of the employees was going outside with me and told me straight forward that he's a dick and nobody likes him, I'm sorry but I've worked fast food for over 4 years and usually if crew don't like the manager it's usually for a good reasoning.
