Braza Brazilian Barbecue — Restaurant in Coventry

Excellent family-owned establishment with flavor and hospitality. I moved to Rhode Island last year and this is one of my favorite family-owned places to eat. Even when my family comes to town to visit me, I bring them here.

When we enter the restaurant, we're always greeted by the owner, who shows us what she has in store today in the buffet (no longer self-serve). The husband then shows us what meat he has cooked today. We get the food from the buffet from the wife first, then come back to the husband to order whatever meats we'd like from him. All prices go by weight. The way we eat - it gets pricey ... But I'd much rather fill up on deliciius food here and give my money to a small business and wonderful family. The owners are wonderful and New England locals. She'll definitely talk to you, and she'll keep talking, but that's what makes the place so special. Once you weigh your food, if you're dining in, you can get a drink and a dessert (or wait)... You don't have to pay until you've finished eating and finished desserts as well. You can also get your food to-go at anytime.

From the rices, to the beans, to the stroganoffs, to the plantains and baked pineapple, to the gluen free cheese rolls, to the sausages, to the chicken wings, to the ribs and other meats, and to the delicious desserts - chocolate truffle, tiramisu, passion fruit pudding.... You can't go wrong.

I love their food! ive been there everyday this past week and it never gets old. The owner is a very respectful, professional, and can cook with the best of them. His wife is a very nice lady shes easy going, also very respectful, professional, and can really cook. Their daughter is a complete sweetheart, friendly, takes her time when showing customers on how it all works and the run down of the food. Theyre a great family running a great business that is sure to plant its roots into coventry and give us something different food wise. Plus its right around the corner! I regret that I did not get the name of the young man who waited on me, or the woman, who I believe to be the owner, but not sure, but I will be back because the minute I stepped into their restaurant, I was met by this young man whose enthusiasm for this food was infectious. I ordered the yellow rice and grilled medley of vegetables to go. I would have ordered the beef, but I already had meat marinating at home, and didn’t intend on buying anything as I had just stopped in to get a menu upon a referral from a friend.
