D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches — Restaurant in Coventry

The food is standard fare, however the service is indifferent at best. I have ordered from them six times (which is specific due to that I began to order from them when I moved to the town). I’m not sure what happened, but the last three times the store staff screwed up each order.

They have ‘lost’ our on line orders, given me a steak sub when, as someone who opts not to eat meat, I ordered a veggie sub, replaced two ORDERED subs with pockets, and got the size wrong each time. Lucky me that the last veggie pocket I got from them tonoight also had meat mixed into it. Again, I don’t care to eat meat.

Tonight, the male who answered my call hung up on me after I declined to have him ‘scrape together a small chicken soup’, as I assume he took my ‘I’m all set’ to that repugnant offer to mean I was all set with the order. All I could picture was the dregs of soup that was there all day getting scrapped into a cup. Appetizing.

The service is simply sloppy and rude.There are other locations to opt from, so for me, the food is easily replaceable, but seriously, if you can’t put a simple sandwich together, why should I bother to spend my hard earned money with you? My impression is a group of staff that are either so poorly trained that they don’t know how to do their job, or are so indifferent they just don’t care. I kind of think they don’t care.

Either early, try another location. Sloppy service, poor quality, waste...

This place has gone way down in quality. I moved to NYC 10 years ago but always remembered DAngelos fondly and told friends about the turkey sandwiches that seemed carved from thanksgiving turkey breast instead of random deli slices, the bread that was crusty on the outside and soft inside and the vegetables so deliciously flavorful that no condiments were needed. When I moved back home, I went to DAngelos in tbe first week. I was disappointed in the flavor, the quality and the environment itself. The sandwich tasted like any random deli made turkey sandwich, nothing special. I dont like the way they have changes the stores themselves either, the green colors they used to use were bright and cheerful, the browns now are drab and fecal looking. I thought perhaps I was judging too harshly so I went to another location and wont make that mistake again. They can't justify their prices based upon the flavor or quality of their sandwiches anymore so I will certainly save my...

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolute worst service ever and completely stupid people. First time we ordered delivery it took over an hour and a half!!! When we called back they said "oh we thought it was pick up," we CLEARLY said delivery and they even took our address, why would you ask for an address if we were picking up?! Oh abd the TOASTED sandwhiches were COLD they didn't even remake them fresh!!! Then today we tried again for delivery and they didn't believe our address, took over half an hour because the driver had no idea where to go even after we gave him directions. Then when he finally got here we put the food on the table and one of our sandwhiches fell on the floor because 1. The sandwhich was barely wrapped and there was no foil wrapping tucking it either, 2. We turn the bag over and the bag was ripped from top to bottom!!! Oh and they got one sandwhich wrong too!!!...
