My husband and I decided to try this place tonight because of the good reviews.

He ordered sushi and said it was okay, but that the yellow tail and salmon rolls he ordered had “less than vibrant” fish that they hid with spicy mayo.

I had teriyaki chicken and fried rice, which came with a salad. The dressing for the salad was a sad, shelf-stable version of the normally delicious ginger dressing. The fried rice was extremely dark, so I thought it would be overseasoned and too salty, but it somehow tasted like nothing. It was really weird - no garlic flavor and not even any soy sauce flavor. The chicken was extremely tough. I had high hopes since it came out on a sizzling hot skillet, but it was inedible. The teriyaki itself was okay flavor-wise. I normally never speak up, but the food was actually so bad that I told the waitress.

The waitress sent over the manager, but there didn’t seem to be any communication between the two of them because he just asked us if we needed anything else and then brought us the check. We didn’t even know he was the manager. When the waitress returned, she told us he was the manager and asked if he took anything off the bill (he didn’t). She apologized and said that if she takes anything off the bill, he gets mad at the end of the night. The experience was uncomfortable and weird and the food was really expensive for the low quality.

I definitely recommend literally...

I'll start by saying that the language barrier between the manager and I probably contributed to this 1 star review. His inability or desire to not understand my problem was turned into an embarrassing and combative experience, the worst I've had in 10+ years. Bottom line, we ordered $50 in food, the wife and I took some bites, we paused to look at each other at some point, and both said "something is off". The two sushi rolls tasted off (not expired seafood but definitely not fresh), the chicken dinner was burnt, and the orange chicken, well the orange chicken was fine. Regardless, I opted to return the whole meal as my wife wanted something different for her birthday dinner and 80% of the meal was inedible. The manager was in disbelief that I wanted a refund. Seriously, his mind was blown. He couldn't even make eye contact, he was just staring at the food on the counter muttering about the portion size or something like that. I honestly just feel bad for the staff that had to watch there grumpy, unprofessional boss lose his mind over some burnt chicken. I wonder how that guy reacts when people call out (not in an understanding manner I would assume). Anyways, I wont be back. I'm typing this in the Ye Express parking lot down the road waiting for what I know will be an...

The purpose of ordering takeout was so I didn’t have to cook ! Unfortunately, this was not the case …. Had my husband pick up takeout for dinner from dragon Palace, from in Coventry, Rhode Island. We ordered a poo poo platter for two, large order of chicken, lo mein, pork fried rice, spring rolls, a large order of hot and sour soup, and an order of sushi and sashimi. Order came up to over $70… . Requested extra house hot mustard and got extra duck sauce instead of hot mustard…we only got 1 small container of house mustard. The chicken wings to the poo, poo platter were (RAW) and had to place them in our air fryer to finish cooking them! When calling to let the staff know about the issue. The denied the chicken being raw. Said to bring back our order. Im completely disgusted with their food service and customer support. We will no longer be returning to Dragon Palace. We live in Foster RI, and Dragon Palace is 30-40 minutes away. By the time my husband would drive back to Dragon Palace and come home. We would’ve eaten 1.5 hours later. Not okay! This was supposed to be a easy dinner, paying to not have to cook. This is unacceptable from Dragon Pace , and I’m very disappointed….. We most likely will never order takeout from you again, and dine in. I will be contacting...

My wife and I tried Dragon Palace based on the google reviews which are entirely too high. I ordered 3 sushi rolls and an order of sashimi, the waitstaff, while friendly did not know the difference between sushi and sashimi which was a bit of a red flag; the sashimi and tuna rolls were decent however the other two rolls were topped with “spicy sauce” which covered less vibrant fish (salmon and yellowtail) overall the sashimi was the best part of both my and my wife’s meals. My wife ordered teriyaki chicken with a side of fried rice. At first I was worried the fried rice had been drowned in soy sauce and would be inedible, despite the color it was entirely unseasoned and flavorless, her teriyaki chicken was tough and stringy. The waitress said she would see if the manager would take anything off the check and then someone who didn’t identify themself as a manager asked if we needed anything else (nothing about the food). Save yourself the money and purchase grocery store sushi instead.

Food is delicious! Traditional old school New England style Chinese food! Great big restaurant hidden in an office building. Just follow the signs. Once you sit you get complimentary wonton strips with the darkest duck sauce I've had. It looks black in the container. Comes out a dark brown. It is delicious! Hot and sour soup is perfect!!! The balance created with wine and vinegar give it the perfect sour flavors with just the right amount of heat and finished with sesame oil. Seriously one of the best! They still have old school egg rolls. The newer ones are made with bland cabbage. These are made with celery and pork and just the right amount of spice. Perfect! The shrimp with lobster sauce was also spot on. Fresh shrimp in a delicious sauce that balances flavor without being too salty. The fried rice was the darkest I've had without being salty. Overall this is a great restaurant that I highly recommend.
