Sushi & Roll — Restaurant in Covina

Another update: my husband loved the roll I got and wants to order again. So I rexamined the photos of the menu and it indeed does say togo items do not include SALAD. Nothing about no soup. Which I called specifically about yesterday. So I got 1) lied to on the phone by the girl 2) ripped off on my soup, which I wanted enough to callback. I will be calling back and speaking to a manager about my f#@$ing soup cause I'm that petty right now. If you don't want to do your job correctly, get a new one instead of deliberately lying to people.

Update: finally got through after the phone rang and rang and rang.. and rang and rang and rang. For any future customers, apparently somewhere on their menu it says soup and side salad not included - at least that's what the girl on the phone said.

Will be trying a different venue next time cause that's really lame. Especially if you purchase a $15 roll to go.

So the menu online says all rolls come with salad and miso soup, when my husband showed up for pickup all they handed him was a roll. When he asked for the rest of it they gave him just a salad (I ordered a seaweed salad as well and it's not worth it tbh unless you want an actual salad and a small corner of seaweed salad). Really disappointed as I love miso soup. One would think if salad and miso soup comes standard with rolls it wouldn't be so easy to forget. Been trying to call back and phone is just a busy...

Overall was good, but not enough to seek them out to return again. Sorry. Just the truth. The positives are that they're nice and friendly, tables were available upon entering and clean throughout. Food was also clean and well made, EXCEPT that EVERY piece of sushi fell apart upon picking it up, so we were relegated to using a small plastic spoon to eat the mess with. :/ Udon tempura shrimp soup was good and so was the miso soup. We thought we'd try the salmon w avo n cream cheese roll, but it not only fell apart, but also the cream cheese didn't taste like top quality cc, therefore giving the whole roll a very tasteless, bland flavor. Was disappointed by this because I've had this other places before and I thought I could rely on it to impress my date with my order selection "skill", but was left to eat it all by myself. :/ So I say, wrap the rolls better or use stickier rice, and use phili cream cheese next time. :) Hopefully your next new customers will...

Glad to find a new my go to Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood! I brought my fam to here based on my friend’s recommendation and very happy to find this place. I don’t know how busy they can get but I intentionally went there for early dinner on Sunday to avoid the crowds. My fam loves rolls and sushi. We have been looking for a new Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood since our previous ‘go-to’ one has changed to all-you-can eat which doesn’t suits our fam. This place serves, good quality sushi and rolls for very affordable price. The portion was bigger than expected so we end up eating much more than we wanted but couldn’t stop until completely emptying all the plates. They were so good!! The servers were very kind and courteous and I’m pretty confident this will be our new go to Japanese restaurant. Quality food, variety choices, affordable price, clean and kind servers…can’t...
