I only gave a 1 star because you have to to give a review. I always called in my orders to go if I didn't have time to come in and eat. I called to day to hear... For delivery or pick up dial 1. So I did. Then I hear CHECK YOUR MESSAGES. Click.... so I checked my message and it said I now have to order on line. So since I was driving I called and hit #2 to talk to someone. Lady answered.. I asked if she could take my order to go over the phone, because I was driving. She flat out said NO...Click went the phone. What I should of done was said forget it and went somewhere else. But my family wanted there bake potato meal. So I pulled over ordered 3 bake potato meals which was like 12 dollars each. I paid for it and when I went to pick it up, it was ready and sitting on the counter. When I went home about 40 minutes later.. I opened the bag and I have never ever been so upset. There was 3 containers of unflavored and tasteless rice, 3 cups of some kind of greasy oily soup, and three containers of burnt meat. So hard 2 of us couldn't even eat it. All of which nothing that I even ordered. I called to say something and Click is what I...
Read moreAlthough the restaurant and restrooms need some updating, everything was clean. During these times of covid, local restaurants are fortunate to be open, so no deductions and total understanding that money is needed for the business and staff, not redecorating. The service was excellent by Fernando where we were seated by the bar. The taste of the food was very good, and the portion size was also very good for a very fair price. Both at home (Memphis, TN) and as we have traveled, we have experienced shrinking menu options and portion sizes while prices have increased significantly. Not at El Presidente. Good menu options, large portions and fair prices. If you want to try a twist on an appetizer, try their Spinach Queso Dip. It surprisingly came with roasted mushrooms. Delicious!! Again a large portion. 15% is automatically added for a tip, but we had no problem with this since Fernando provided excellent service and deserved 20%. When visiting the area, we plan to visit El...
Read moreJust go to Margaritas in Covington and save yourself the disappointment. We were a table of two and both ordered $10 meals with no special changes. I didn't recieve half of my food, the other member of my party received a different menu item than they ordered. The staff seemed friendly enough but when we went to pay, there was a %15 gratuity added and a sign was placed by the register explaining that it would be added in order to keep the restaurant staffed with servers. I live in the area and I have never seen the parking lot empty during business hours. Why weren't their servers able to make sufficient tips? Why the gratuity on every table regardless of the size? Our experience won't be repeated, however. We will be eating at a competing restaurant with the same menu and prices (without automatic gratuity) and better food...
