This was a poor experience in Popeyes!! Iām in town for a funeral and versus eating at the repast, we chose Popeyes. When we entered the store there was a child eating chicken barefoot near the door. Shortly after we realized she was an employeeās child. We dismissed it and proceeded to order. We ordered our food (six people, five separate orders). One person in the party only ordered sides and requested a water cup. The cashier said it would cost 35 cents. We couldnāt understand the reason to charge for a cup considering the money we just spent on food (four orders came with drinking cups). The sales associate, who appeared to be the manager said she was ājust doing her jobā.We again dismissed the charge for a cup but as we continued to eat our meal we couldnāt help but talk about our experience. While eating a customer approached us asking if we had change for a one hundred dollar bill because the store didnāt. We were unable to help him and as a result the store loss a $30+ sale. When putting our trays away we saw how dirty the restaurant truly was, the floor and beverage area were dirty. Gnats weāre flying near the beverage fountain. We went to go in side because the door was unlocked and there were no signs and a girl was holding the door like we were going to bust the door down. Then we went to the drive through and it took the girl for ever to finally ask what else wanted then it took her for ever to answer a question (how many corn on the cobs come in one order?) She said uhhhhhhhhhh 5 minutes later she said 6 and then she gave us fries when we didnt even order fries and and got two orders of biscuits and we only asked for one and when we got to the window they said it would be a 2 minutes waiting for the chicken so we pulled up and then 20 minutes later they said its a two minute wait and then 10 minutes later we finally got our food. Each time they were closed by 730 pm, even on weekends. While I understand the staffing issue and tried again today (much earlier, 530 pm) when I came to pick it up, I was told (after placing an online order 20 minutes before I arrived) that it would be 15 minutes.(Coincidencely the time told to the car in front of me that ordered in the drive thru). I asked that even though I ordered ahead, it would still be another 15 minutes and was told that they don't start orders until you arrive to pick them up.(what?) Then, when I got to the window I asked if my card had been charged already and she shook her head yes while telling me to pull up. Watched 5 others pull off while waiting for my already paid for food to arrive.....told husband he can go if he wants, but I won't be back until issue...
