Surprisingly delicious!! Never judge the book by the cover, they say…well the same applies here! Today I did not want to make dinner and I had saved Asian Garden in my “want to go” list! I am glad I did. I drove to the place and I recognized the area because I have been to the Food Lion nearby but when I found the place I was not sure if I got it right. You go to a window, you order, pay, take and go. So fast. Let’s break down and justify my 5 stars: customer service: the person at the window was friendly and attentive, I like that, always. Food: I ordered the Spicy Cabbage Chicken with fried rice and O-M-G. You would not expect something soooo good judging by the place. I could taste every single spice, the veggies were crunchy and cooked to perfection, the chicken blended with the veggies and the delicious sauce was just on point. The fried rice was good even though it was not my usual fried rice with pork and scrambled eggs and some tiny shrimps but I liked anyways. I also liked the serving portions . They served the food separate and I like that too. The only thing I missed for my dog: her fortune cookie! But I am coming back for sure! I recommend this place. PS- lots of pick up orders but...

We just moved to the area, so we are trying to eat at different places and decided to try this joint - I mean, 4.5 stars, right? We’ve never had more oily Chinese food. We had the sweet and sour chicken for me, shrimp lo mein for my wife, and an order of crab rangoon. We always finish our Chinese food. We didn’t this time. More than one hair in the food. Several pieces of chicken had a large chunk of cartilage. The sauce for the chicken had a strange “tang” to it. Also didn’t care for brown rice, which isn’t appetizing on its own but especially not appetizing with the sweet and sour chicken. Crab rangoon were good except for the oil. We could pour it out of each piece if we tore it apart. And the same with the lo mein. Had a decent flavor, but lots of oil. And seemed a bit too salty.

Unfortunately, we live less than 5 minutes away but will not be returning.

The ambiance seemed nice (we had take out) and the staff was friendly. They have a window facing storefront so you can walk up and get your food without going inside. We...

I'll never eat Chinese food from anywhere else! I won't even go to the place up the road from my house anymore! Asian Garden isn't your typical Chinese Restaurant, and in this case that's a good thing! Their menu isn't overwhelming like most Chinese Restaurants, which is fantastic - especially if you're someone like me that has a difficult time choosing. The one thing I can't get over with them, is the flavor! It's amazing, it's what's changed me! Their sesame chicken is second to none, it's perfect! Their fried rice is simple, it isn't over dressed! Their steamed dumplings aren't dry, they have the perfect moisture, and the beef filling has great taste and seasoning! I can even rave about their vegetarian options! Their tofu is crisp, never soggy! And the sweet and sour sauce to dip it in is wonderful! This will always be my go to for Chinese, I'll happily make the drive from Lincolnton...

Dont let this little hole in the wall fool you- This place is an absolute hidden gem for those traveling in the area, and a well known spot for locals. I ordered the orange chicken entrée and a side of crab rangoons. My entrée was generously portioned with plenty of crispy glazed chicken, a box of rice and an egg roll. The rangoons came with a delicious dipping sauce, not too sweet, with hints of garlic and spice. I'd eat here every day if I could. Honestly, with the portions they serve you, it lasted me until the next day. They are hot with business so I highly suggest placing a call in order, by the time you're through the traffic, it will be ready. If not, I ,like many others, will grab a few things at the food lion next door!
