I ordered the steak tips which I had once before and the meal was excellent. However, that wasn't the case this time. First, the appearance of the meal when it was brought, was pitiful. The onions and mushrooms looked like old crap they scraped off the grill. The tips tasted charred and burnt even though the tips themselves didn't look burnt. It was supposed to come with mashed potatoes but didn't. It came with corn and coleslaw, the 2 sides I picked. The coleslaw was awful. I got a peach iced tea that tasted like a mixture of alcohol and mold. The waitress was terrible. She didn't ask how I wanted the tips cooked, gravy or no gravy and pointed at the sides on the menu and asked which ones I wanted. Normally they would tell you what the choices are. When I told her how awful the tea tasted she just said they had a lot of people order it that night and no one had said that. She never checked back to see how the meal was and never asked. She was asking if I wanted dessert and I had barely started to eat the dinner. She didn't apologize for the tea or the meal not coming with mashed potatoes. My husband ordered country fried steak and it didn't come with the mashed potatoes either. He got orange juice that came with ice cubes and was watered down and didn't taste like OJ at all. Suffice it to say, it was the worst meal I have ever been served. We got there at 7:15 PM and I don't know if they just wanted to close and get out of there but they put absolutely no effort into that meal or the service. She was the worst waitress I ever had as well. I'm still pissed off for the $35.00 we paid on a crappy meal. Very...
Read moreStayed away from Bob Evans in Cranberry for about 4 years due to poor management treatment of long time staff. (Use to eat there at LEAST once a week, and sometimes twice) Decided to give them a chance today. Great service and good food. However, went to pay at checkout (only one there) and the woman barked at me "Over here" referring to a different register than they had been using when we walked in. So, I pay, and she never speaks one word to me until the throws the receipt at me and barks "there you go". I proceeded to tell her that everything was perfect up to that point and all she would have had to do is say THANK YOU. I never got that. Got home and called to talk to the manager who RELUCTANTLY told me his name "DON" when I asked for it. I told him all the good, and the bad, and not ONE WORD of "I"m sorry you were treated so poorly, or THANK YOU" Instead, he proceeded to tell me how busy they were (3 PM) and how understaffed (they had plenty of servers at 2:30PM when I checked out. Then, instead of saying "I'm sorry", he offered me a job. "Come out and fill out an application". This is one business I will NEVER spend a penny in again. There are MANY local restaurants where we can dine and at least get a thank you. After over 3 years I at least thought management would have...
Read moreI thought I could save time, and swing by Bob Evans for a late dinner tonight.. what a mistake that was! The order was missing my son’s entire meal, ALL the side except 1 tiny piece of strawberry pie, no silverware or napkins, and instead of an Apple Juice it was a cup with just Water (lol they didn’t even bother with putting ice in it). My boyfriend called, and spoke with a manager who either is brand new or just doesn’t give AF. He offered a gift card in a week or so for the missing meal, and confirmed that “Yepp his foods right here”. But they’re closed so now I gotta drive all the way around OC to get my son a happy meal.. I should’ve just gotten McDonald’s in the first place. I order pretty regularly from here, but after tonight I’m done. I just wanted to get my lil boy dinner from his favorite restaurant, but it looks like he’s going to find a new favorite place to eat regularly. I just want to add if it wasn’t for the phone call with the manager I wouldn’t have left this review. A gift card in a week or so is...
