Overall this Wawa is ok but now I know why I avoid talking to the staff. I usually get premade cold food and check myself out. Tonight I tried the hot food and regret it. First the ordering system is too convoluted so it took forever to put together a sandwich. When I finished I got the ticket but it never said I had to pay before I get the food. The staff all saw me waiting with my ticket but said nothing. When my number was called I went up to get it and a shorter woman with red hair snatched it from me saying “you can’t have it, you have to pay first”. I have worked in food service and if I did that in my job I’d be fired. I couldn’t complain because every employee was helping a customer who came in complaining his salads were made wrong. They all didn’t look concerned. When I paid (self check out since there was no cashier) I took my food angrily. When I got it home the woman hadn’t wrapped the fries well and they fell out of the container. I also provided a photo of a tomato I pulled out with like the stem still attached? We walked in, and we did not know who was more cordial; the customers or the staff. Oh, yeah! That's right. There was no staff, at the register at least! Thankfully, there were self checkout stations. To be a store located in Cranford, New Jersey, it is sure dirty! We have seen better, clean Wawa stores at other locations that we also reviewed. We are still trying to ask ourselves why there was a "ravine" streak left by a mop along with a wet floor caution signage when the wetness was still clearly all around the coffee station quite far away. Apparently, one of the workers did not know how to properly mop the floor? We shouldn't have to take a trip to the hospital for them to finally figure that out.

Read moreI was in this Wawa earlier today and ordered an iced espresso. There is no option for nonfat milk on the ordering screen, but in every other Wawa I have been to I just ask the person making the drink for nonfat. Never a problem. Today it was. The person making the drink asked me what nonfat milk was, and then said "Oh, yeah. I know." When my number was called I grabbed the drink and it was white. I asked what milk she used and she showed me half and half. I repeated nonfat, and if they did not have it then 2% would have to do. She found the nonfat, but was very frustrated that she had to walk to the other fridge to get it. She make my drink, I made sure to say thank you, and she rolled her eyes, and said "have a nice day." When I got to my car, I tried the drink. IT WAS AWFUL!! It was watered down and tasteless. FIVE BUCKS FOR A DRINK THAT IS NOT GOING TO BE CONSUMED!!
