Kingston Location. The heat from the jalapeños is what makes the dish. I come all the way from Providence to NK to eat but today due to time, I went to the Cranston location and it did not meet the expectations. My ceviche was missing the Jalapenos and had uncooked shrimp. I called the restaurant and asked for this situation to be rectified and eventually a male manager who initially identified himself apologized but didn't give a solution and stating they are very busy. He then put the phone down and proceeded to complain to his colleagues in Spanish not knowing I am Spanish-speaking and understood him. When he came back on, he informed me I was not able to get refunded. When i explained i heard what he said and asked for his name again, he remained silent. This service was awful and I was not treated like I contributed to the "business" of the restaurant.
To add that I went back to get a refund and when the young lady who cashed me out saw me coming in the door, she began to laugh and run away to tell the young male "manager". I informed him I was there for my refund and he had me repeat myself several times stating he couldn't hear me. Even then he declined my refund!!!!! It wasn't until an older lady with a real uniform on who came to assist and told him to give me the refund in which he still told her no and she demanded him to. This generation of employees have no respect and no education/manners to be in a work environment....
Read moreSo glad they returned to Cranston, we missed you! The food is amazing and authentic, reminds me of home cooked meals back in Southern CA. Portion size is super plentiful, with all the added "fixings" you would want, including delicious salsas, tomatillo sauce, and the Best Guacamole and Tortilla Chips on the East Coast. Clean space, not as decorative and homey as the prior space on Atwood Ave, but that doesn't detract from the delicious food. Only have two not-so-great comments: 1. the Spinach Quesadilla was completely soggy and congealed, sitting in a puddle of grease, sorry to say it was basically inedible, thinking the spinach was not strained or was not prepared well; 2. the young man at the checkout counter has an awful attitude and could not care less that a customer just spent $100+ at his restaurant, zero customer service ability and extremely rude, not sure if he is family or related to the owners but he is definitely a reason I...
Read moreThis was our second try at this place and, unfortunately, we won't be returning.
First time: they forgot 3 items from our order. When I called, I offered to drive back out to pick up the missing items since they're only a couple minutes away. They agreed and I returned to get the missing items. When I arrived, though, I had to wait around, not for one of the hot items, but rather for the margarita I ordered to go. Why they didn't already have it made is beyond me. Finally back home and eating, we discover the tortillas were all badly burned. Not quite black, but very dark brown, all over, and smelling strongly of burned tortilla. Well, that was a bust.
Second time: pickup included everything we ordered this time! Unfortunately, the tortillas this time were both burned and doughy! Pic attached. Chile con queso was not good. Fajita was mediocre, at best, even ignoring the unusable tortillas. Quesadilla was okay, enchilada was a...
