This is a classic neighborhood pizza place. I'd never been, but with Wing Month now in full swing we had to give them a visit. Upon first inspection the place was clean, clearly popular enough to have orders and customers going in and out, and other than the dining area being very cold, it was like any other pizza place.
We ordered our wings and I had to have a side of curly fries. I got the Thai Peanut, and my boyfriend got the Spicy Garlic (a flavor we hadn't really seen advertised elsewhere and he was excited to try it).
The wings were well-cooked, crispy, juicy, tender, and had a generous amount of meat on the bones. I found the Thai Peanut sauce to be really tasty, not necessarily something new or unique, but very enjoyable. My boyfriend enjoyed his Spicy Garlic wings, but said it best as "I mean they're buffalo with extra garlic. Look at the color. The sauce it orange. They're going to taste like buffalo."
That being said, he did like them. Our overall thought was that if that was our neighborhood pizza place, we'd be getting our wings from there with no hesitation. They may not have been the best I've had in Rhode Island, but they're still better than some places that...

My wife seemed to approve of the salads, though I am still a conscientious objector to that sort of green eating behavior! (Just kidding, salads are great, it reminds of the food my food eats).
As for the wings, they were sauced and cooked perfectly, especially if you're looking to dip the BBQ wings in a bit of ranch. This time around I had a sandwich, which was filling and delicious to the last bite while our friends both had sandwiches, which they also approved of.
I don't think I'd dine in here, as their store front is a bit small and could get crowded, but they're the perfect take out place if you're in the area, or driving through (Pro tip, it's pretty much in the center of RI, so you can't be that far away...)
I'll definitely be coming...
Read moreSo, Maria’s has been our go-to for takeout for 6 years. Yesterday, they earned even more loyalty from me.
I was getting ready to go pick up my order when I threw my back out. It’s an ongoing issue but it was impossible to get in my car. I called and offered to buy a side so that I could be charged a delivery fee and have them bring my food to me. The first thing they said was, “First of all- Are you ok??” They told me not to worry about a delivery fee, they’d bring my sandwiches over, and in about 2 minutes, my food was at my front door.
Just want to say THANK YOU for your kindness and generosity. I made sure to tip the driver really well. They will continue to be our go-to because they’re...
