Sometimes a place has great food, but not fantastic service. And sometimes vice versa, but with Dante's, is it's definitely both! Fantastic food and they have rice balls!!! which you can never find around here and being a Brooklyn girl I missed rice balls ! Till now! But beside the really good food, which is what brought me in to begin with. I have to make a shout out to Danny, the owner. Completely out of the kindness of his own heart. He took a chance on my Jonathan and gave him a position. To work there a couple of times a week. This was completely his idea as he was just looking to do something to help somebody get some experience under their belt and bulid more confidence. These are things you don't see every day. Well, he probably thinks he just helped a young kid who needed a chance a little boost he probably doesn't have a clue the true impact and major life boost this is for him. Building confidence, helping to understand finances and make his first major purchase! Work ethic and just customer service social interaction! Honestly the just of it is this... one selfless moment just to do some good in the world for no reason but to give back is not just one moment.... it begins and carries for the lifetime. I completely agree with someone who posted a review recently about poor customer service. I typicall don't post reviews, but this one i really need to voice customers' concerns. I personally felt the customer service was weird but I don't know if they target non-white ethnic groups. The men at the counter are absolutely arrogant, rude, not afraid providing poor service in your face. I was waiting for my pick up and they kind of tossed an Asian man's pizza boxes and aggressively told the customer his food is ready. The gentleman even said thank you to such an alarming behavior from the employee and the customer even politely asked for some plates. Then the guy behind the counter rolled his eyes and gave the customer something like 2-3 plates. Comon, the guy bought 3 pies. And guess what, zero "thank you" from the employees. And 2-3 other employees next to him don't say ANYTHING either. Who the heck would want to come back here when you treat customers this way. After witnessing something like this, i know i am not coming back here ever again. Your food is honestly pretty good, but the way you guys treat customers is garbage. Shame on you Dantes for not taking service...

I had a disappointing experience at Dante's recently when I went to pick up a takeout order. The staff was unprofessional and treated me very poorly, which really ruined what should have been a simple transaction.

When I arrived to pick up my order, I was greeted with a lack of acknowledgment—no "hello" or even a smile. After waiting for several minutes at the counter, I was finally told that my order wasn’t ready yet. No apology, just a cold response, which was frustrating because I had placed my order in advance and showed up on time.

It’s clear that the staff at this location need serious training in customer service, especially when it comes to handling takeout orders. The lack of courtesy and attention to detail was frustrating, and I won’t be returning. It's a shame because the food has potential, but with service like this, it's simply not worth the hassle.

I would advise others to be cautious when considering takeout from here as the staff maynot...
