The place that used to be here before the wrench was so eclectic and filled with art and nostalgic pieces. The people who used to own this location, just like their artwork, were wonderful. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the customer service now.
One evening, I was at the bar on the patio and wasn’t given a warning that they were about to close. Instead, I was told by a young waitress that I needed to leave because the bar had closed. I wasn’t paying attention to the time and accepted responsibility for that, but I was told twice that I needed to be on premises, as if I didn’t understand the first time. This made me feel like I was trespassing rather than a patron of the bar.
It would’ve been different if the waitress had explained that they were closing up. They can’t serve alcohol anymore, but I was passive-aggressively told to leave. I’ve visited the wrench on more than one occasion and multiple times per week, but after this experience, I won’t be returning. I don’t recommend it to anyone.
There are much better establishments that are less rude and more tactful when it comes to requesting patrons to finish their drinks, cash out, or leave. I wouldn’t wish that kind of treatment on anyone, especially paying customers who understand decent and peaceful requests. I even apologized for my late stay, and the waitress offered to let me have another five minutes to finish my drink. However, the approach was simply rude and uninviting, and I believe there were better ways to convey...
Read moreWe had my nephews birthday party at the Cresson Wrench and it was awesome! They made everything so easy. We had the waterslide delivered early and they had it all set up and ready to go by the time we got there with kids. Tables were all set up and we literally didn't have to do a thing. The package we chose included hotdogs and nachos for 15 kids, goodie bags for 15 kids and the table and chairs setup. We got there a little bit early and slapped our decorations up and set out cookies. It was so easy! It was so fun because the kids all played the whole day away while we sat up in the shade and watched them have the best day ever! We were even able the order food and beer from the restaurant for us! Then when the party had pretty much ended we just migrated to the front of the building and listened to their live music while the last few kids...
Read moreHonestly, 3 stars is even a bit generous, but the service was pretty good. We decided to give this place a shot after seeing a pic of the menu. Upon arriving, they had a completely different menu with only burgers, hot dogs, and a couple of extremely basic appetizers (chips/queso, etc.) We were pretty hungry, so we figured we'd stick around and order a burger and chips/chorizo queso. I'm down to spend $$ on good food, but the chips/queso was kind of a joke for $12. Literally was some bagged walmart chips and GV queso with pickled jalapeños and tiny bit of crumbled chorizo. Burger was decent, but not worth anything near the $13.50 we paid. No fries, no onion rings, only bags of chips. Let's be honest here, this is a bar that happens to sell overpriced burgers/hot dogs,...
