Motorsport Ranch — Attraction in Cresson

This is a great facility in North Texas for any Motorsports related activity. The track has an interesting layout and has more elevation than originally meets the eye. There is a ample amount of garage space and quite a few onsite tuning and racing companies that provides legitimacy and weight to the track operation. I was here with an scca event which was well run and provided a fair test to several different classes of cars all on the same circut layout. Quientessental home of grassroots motorsports, a great technical track that brewed some of the finest drivers around North America.

I can summarize the track as technical, horsepower has benefits but not essentially crucial for a track like this, menaing your ND3 Miata can outlap other cars double or even triple its power rating (looking at you, Lew Alexander)

Overall, great track with a more affordable rate comapred to its rival in the north, please do watch out for the steep curbing around rattlesnake, otherwise I like this track and can recommend it to many.

There was a bad accident the day I was there. A car went off and created a dust up. In the dust, one car hit another. The problem was it took entirely too long for the staff to caution then stop the race and get help out to the cars. I don't know if the tower didn't see the crash and just thought the cars were off in the grass or what happened but it was really bad and one of the drivers had to be air lifted out.
