First let me say as a 15 yr veteran (back in the day) of Red Lion Hotel front desk management, Tiffany at the front desk (3-11pm shift) is an absolute keeper! She's professional, knowledgeable, friendly and does her job with a bright, infectious smile. For road weary guests drifting in throughout the evening, she is pure gold as the face welcoming guests to the property. A delight. ❤
The hotel is older but in good shape for a budget hotel. Walls are a bit thin but the window units offer just the right amount of white noise so it isn't an issue. Room was clean and the microwave/fridge combo was appreciated. Bed was firm and comfortable and the generous Directv channel lineup was a nice surprise.
Breakfast was somewhat sparse but enough to get you on the road. I had a delicious waffle and glass of milk. I passed on the coffee because the only creamer option was powdered, but that's a minor issue. My husband had some apple juice. There was fruit, prepackaged Danish and a few yogurts as well as cold cereal. Got us on our way.
The Scottish Inn isn't the Westin nor does it pretend to be. It was a safe, clean, warm place to lay our heads and Tiffany's bright smile took off the edge of the long day. Big beautiful lovebugs Roxy and JJ behind the front desk were the icing on the cake for two fur baby lovers! No...

Read moreWhen you consider the price of a room, this hotel is about what you expect. It's fairly clean and the beds are comfortable which are the positives. Also, the people at the front desk are always friendly and helpful which is nice. The negatives are the walls are thin and the floors are loud. So if you are a light sleeper be prepared to hear the people above you and next door to you. I tried to solve half of this problem by getting a room on the top floor but there was something rattling on the roof which made a ton of noise. It was worse than having somebody stomping around on the floor above you. There are small items in disrepair around the facility and in the rooms. For example, my toilet seat in my room was only connected with one screw and you had to be careful when sitting so you didn't slide off with the seat. The Wifi is absolutely terrible. Not even worth using. Also, they will sometimes put you in a room that used to be a smoking room and the room smells like an ashtray. The free breakfast is pretty bad but the coffee is decent. I'd stay here again for a brief...
