Awesome experience.
Lets be honest, if you're looking for a cheap experience this isn't it. But its ability to drive on a track, at speed, with cars that most of us could only dream about. Also, if you think you are going to drive these cars alone you are mistaken. However once you've driven on track and had the tuition of the instructors you will probably be glad they were there!
That said my Wife and I both chose the 3 car package. If you want to drive more than one car, do the math and realize paying twice for one car isn't worth it and skip to the 3 cars. My Wife wanted to chose the Audi, Mercedes, and the Ferrari. When we arrived we were told the Audi had a broken wheel. She chose the Corvette instead as she was advised that would have been the better replacement being that she is plus size. This was the only negative of the day, she did not like the Vette. She said it was mainly the handling, and when trying to turn the car the steering felt 'lose'. She also mentioned it was not the best choice for the 'plus size'. The Mercedes was a big hit, great driving, and comfortable. My Wife has family origins from Italy, so the Ferrari was an obvious dream. She loved that car and most definitely her favorite. It costs a little extra but she agreed that it was more than worth it. She got the lady instructor Malia. Wifey really like being with a lady, felt very comfortable and would ask for her again if we were to return.
I paid extra for my experience to upgrade to both the Ferrari, Lamborghini, and the McLaren. I drove with Chris and would ask for him again, he was great! I am about 270lb and 6'2. The McLaren was borderline too small for me. Really fun car to drive and glad I did, but given how much I loved the Ferrari I'd advice to skip this one given the extra price for McLaren vs the Ferrari or Lambo. The Lamborghini was amazing to drive also and one of my dreams to drive one. However I think I spoiled myself by driving the Ferrari first. Its not that the other two were bad, in fact they were probably 9/10 to drive. Its just that I would have rated the Ferrari 10/10 to drive! The Ferrari didn't seem to have any lag in response when more power was applied, was the most accommodating to my height, and just overall my favorite of the day.
We both paid extra for the recon laps. It might seem a waste to pay for for some, but I would highly encourage anyone doing this for the first time. That way you're not wasting any laps for other cars just seeing the track. Also, if you are wondering, for first timers we found that the standard 4 laps for each car was enough. It can tire you out and feel like a work out. Maybe if you consider yourself pretty fit you could drive 7, OR drive 7 laps if you're driving...

The location is easy to find down the US 377 except the entrance. It needs a large plaque or something. It had a couple flags in a small entrance next to a gas station so we blew past it before realizing that was the entrance and had to do a U-turn. Everything about this place is run smoothly from check-in, safety briefing, helmets, staff, drivers, vehicle quality, track and even observation. Like a well-oiled machine 😏👌 I used Groupon to make it more affordable and it enabled me to add on more so while it was still expensive, the base package would have been a great introductory experience as well....I just wanted to give him a ride in his dream car...the "Green Beast from Green Hell" so I had to pay for a lot of package upgrades. The other nice thing is a Movie Car Museum we were able to look through while we waited 5 minutes to begin the safety brief. Great, fun cars in there brought us back down memory lane.
He'll be talking about this experience until death do us part! Sweet...let him top that hahaha
The only CON I found being wheel-chair bound is that I was unable to view the track in the observation patio/deck which was enclosed (steep stairs) & because the day had high winds carrying a high wind chill it was hard to stay out by the track wall to view. I couldn't view anyways since The wall was too high from a wheelchair perspective. So I really could only stay in the parking garage and see the cars come in and out 😞 The staff are nice enough though to take photos for you as your citizen driver comes in once their time is up. Overall experience rated a 9/10 and hope to be able to walk in next time and...

You, reader of this review, are lucky this place isn't named "Drive Exotic Dallas" or "Drive Supercars Dallas/Ft.Worth" or you would never get to experience the greatest Friday morning I have ever had. I'm convinced the reason they call this place "Drive X'otic" is because they need to keep a low profile on Google or they would be booked 24/7 365 days a year.
I had my bachelor party here, and went in with low expectations. After all we are bachelors driving expensive cars....those usually don't mix. And are told to drive safetly, or to baby the car.....
Well not at Drive Xotic. I had 10 guys that approached this experience respectfully and tentatively who were then only told to "hit the apex" "Use all the throttle" and "You paid for all the horses in the engine...USE THEM!." We had the best time together and the crew here were PHENOMENAL!!
If you are thinking of a gift for a car enthusiast in your life, trust me. They need 8 laps in two cars, and a thrill ride. Only two suggestions I can offer is even though the GT500 and it's amazing driver is probably faster in the thrill ride, the Lambo will scare the hell out of them. Secondly, pick two cars that are opposite each other (the staff can help you pick). It makes for a super eye-opening experience. (Think Lotus vs Lambo, or GT500 vs Mclaren)
I can't thank the crew here enough for such an amazing experience. I'll be back and I can't wait to share it...
