Old Main Restaurant + Bar — Restaurant in Crete

Firstly, our server was fantastic. The problem we had with old main was not her fault at all and she was able to take off the sandwich I couldn't eat. Unfortunately though, our food was inedible. I ordered a chicken panini that was supposed to be on ciabatta bread but received a sandwich on white bread and the chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it. My fiance got a BBQ pulled pork sandwich and it messed up his stomach almost immediately. The side salads had limp lettuce and the pickle fries were inedible. Its changed hands to much better management. The help tended not to stay on. That's no longer a problem. The menu has changed. The appetizers are better and theyve added pizza. The menu has been expanded. The owner says they will be closing soon for a couple.months for a complete rehaul. The bar and kitchen will get pushed further back opening the front up more as more of a steak house which Crete does not have. We walked in the door and the dining area was filled with smoke from the kitchen. I ordered a hamburger and fries. The waitress brought our food out. I took a bite out of my hamburger and it was dry and crunchy. It looked like it had been under a heat lamp all day. I sent it back and they brought another one out which wasn't much better.
