Hola! Based on all the Reviews, for a newly opened Tex-Mex choice less than a mile from my home - I'm giving a post-takeout delivery order a 5 star Review here, in the hope I won't need to alter the stars afterward. If the Feast & Royal Beef Taco's I'm going to order within an hour or so, arrive to my home hot & as good as the photos show - we may find Taco Verse to be the replacement for the Pepe's restaurant we used to frequent before they closed the South Chicago Heights locations a couple years ago. A reasonable wait time is fine, & expected for a freshly prepared meal to be delivered. The few negative Google Reviews I am assuming were the result of the opening being so recent.. & the growing pains that can happen with a new location getting up to steam, & the staff catching on to the routine and each other. Make it happen Taco Verse. I know you have what it takes. I'd love to update my Review with one of those "If I could give Taco Verse MORE than 5...

Dined here September 6, 5PM. Stopped in while out on an errand.

I ordered a steak burrito and a chicken bowl. The burrito was half rice. The black beans were undercooked. The steak was bland. There was also a teaspoon of sour cream. The bowl also had a lot of rice. The extra guacamole was a chunk of avocado. Beans were undercooked. The chicken was decent.

The service was what one would expect for a brand new place. The staff looked to be the owners, perhaps 2 couples and a friend. Kiosk ordering. Another customer was directed to the kiosk and wasn't allowed to order at the register even though are two card readers right there. I don't know if they take cash. My order was checked by 2 people and pushed at me as that lady turned away.

This place has major Chipotle vibes. And I know they are brand new. I hope they get the kinks worked out as it is close to home and on my travel route. I'm going to wait a couple of weeks and try again. I hope...

Today was my first time in and I am just hoping I caught them on a bad day or the bowls aren’t their thing. I ordered from the kiosk which I love because I like to have all my options in front of me. Ordered the regular grilled chicken bowl with all the suggested/standard toppings. Was missing the black beans so can’t comment on those. The rice was trash. No seasoning, chunks stuck together, and it was all mush. The guacamole was NOT fresh but was a generous portion. Even just looking at it you know something’s off. I stirred it around and couldn’t stomach it.

Environment was relatively clean.

Smelled better than it tasted. Everything pictured was $20. Asked for a print out of my receipt,...
